A few of these mil ones slipping through these days; here's a USAF C-130J near Portrush

Edit: and there's another one ahead of it! And a Loganair SF340 over Buncrana, just for good measure.

Couple of REACH C-17s over Europe, too, if you filter to RCH callsigns.

Update: and now all the RCHs have disappeared. Shame :(

Rookie Q, just stumbled across this always wondered what's the vertical distance required between crossing paths? Great tread...

1000ft vertically is all thats required. And if at the same altitude, usually 5 miles when en-route in the cruise, depending on the airspace.

FedX is obviously a cargo flight. Are there different regulations for altitude with passenger jets and cargo jets?

Not in Eurocontrol airspace, no. Even mil aircraft have to meet the separation standards for routine airways operations above 29k ft.

Ryanairs new delivery is about to land!

great to see that those 737s can flight for 8 hours, though of course without passengers. what is their maximum flying time if fully loaded?

    8 hours 1 minute :)

Actually I think it's somewhere over 9 hours with full tanks, about 7,500 km.
