Most stuff into Dublin seems to be holding / looping before lining up on finals. Any particular reason for this today?

    Probably just busy

Was out for a few pints in the Glasnevein area and as we left the pub it flew over us directly.. Getting used to the distinctive sound of her now.. A bit of a thrill also seeing her take off us close a few times... Never mind getting caught at the reds on the perimeter road to see that up close, anytime.

I remember being stuck on the reds (the fire station side) whilst the Rescue chopper was doing some manouvers, started recording it on my phone, he was moving up, down, forward, back, left and right, he was going up switching off the engine, dropping amd on the bounce switching it back on, ground taxi-ing and a few other things, bloody battery went dead didn't it, didn't get not a second of footage, bloody ****ty Samsung phone!

BAW9150 G-BNWO B767-336 northwest of Donegal off to the breakers at Victorville.

Went tech before departure, obviously wasn't ready for retirement but the techs got her up and running after 3 hrs.

I presume this took of from a ship the middle of the sea. Either that or an offshore oil rig.

    Anyone care to enlighten us?

KLM765 just went over Tralee, at 10,000ft and quite loud. It should be an A330 going from Bonaire to Amsterdam, but it appears to head for Shannon right now.

The circuits required will be hand flown, no auto pilot. The only tidy bit needs to be on the localiser:D

I wonder did KLM kill 2 birds with one stone here. There was a KLM diversion into Shannon earlier today, would be easy to put a pile of trainees into the 737 and then the extra crew and engineers for the diversion aircraft also???

JP is on his way home after a successful day at the races in Listowel.

that chopper has had a busy 2 weeks, been used alot lately.

Edit : home in about 15 minutes, some way to travel :) his house looks a complete beast from the Air, with a Helipad a nice distance away from it.

P4-MIS just passed by the south of Ireland. An A319-115CJ

JP is out and about again this morning, just appeared on the radar two minutes ago, its my 3rd time seeing him on the radar since Sunday. just a quick spin to Adare Manor Golf Club and he is off again. looks like it went up to Meath to pick up a jockey, then back down home to pick up JP as its just landed in Listowel at the races - showed him landing, just as he dropped off the radar!

how come his chopper is so visible, yet not many others ever appear?

very unusual for this part of the country!

any idea where this took off from, a private airfield near bantry?? assume its heading to the Aran islands?

    322599.jpg

looks like it too off from Bantry Aerodrome and this is the plane in question - its owned by Joe Singletons and its a self build. lovely job.
