The great thing about the stream is both channels in stereo are different frequencies (left is Tower, right is ground).

Not many flights show up on FR24 as most domestic aircraft in JP don't have ADS/B fitted...

    Screengrab fomr the cam today..

We're all going on a winter holiday

Some Finlanders have cashed-in their July holiday pay and are heading to the sunny climes of Funchal

Going down the east coast of NI, should be over Dublin shortly.

    Guys,

RJBB has 32KT x-wind from N, gusting 45kt. A B774 from Taipei aborted 1st attempt and heading back to Taipei! Others are having a go, they have more diversion choices I guess..

I've tried Flightradar24's app on my Android phone and it is VERY limited functionality. I've been giving Flightaware a try but it's a bit glitchy as regards picking up where I am and also at loading and refreshing flights on the map.

Any recommendations apart from using a full on laptop?

To get full functionality on a phone you need to buy the paid-for versions of the app.

Aircraft stopped on runway at Leeds Bradford had a few planes holding. Emergency services too. Seems to be cleared now though.

    This one? http://fr24.com/2014-10-13/14:36/12x/EXS43A/48f9362

LBA-TFS (Leeds to Tenerife). Fairly typical routing for flights from the North of England to the Canary Islands.

EI779 is taking an unusual routing from ACE to Dub this evening.
    http://www.flightradar24.com/EIN779/4900e84

Routing from Lanzarote towards Gibraltar, then overhear Madrid and due North across Biscay.

Would this routing be due traffic congestion on the usual more direct route?

There is also a G650 N100A crossing at the moment, why does this show up with no tail number etc in FR24, but Planefinder shows the details?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Oscar Bravo

its up to the owner/operator if they want to hide the details. so I guess they have asked FR24 but not planefinder.

More than likely a routing due to a defect with the aircraft precluding its use of the airway T9. Eg. the HF radio may be inop etc.

Both Air France AF65 & AF83 from LA and SFO crossing Southern Ireland at FL260 and FL 270 this morning. Why so low?

Several weather related possibles, either taking advantage of jet stream winds at lower levels, or avoiding an uncomfortable ride at higher levels because of jet stream issues.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
