Seems to be heading for Birmingham? Damn you British for banning liveatc feeds :(

There's a Cityjet Avro AF1117 DUB-CDG diverting to BHX having been squawking 7700.

Around 7pm what looked to be two aircraft travelling in the same direction passed over head me in West Limerick heading from north to south/southwest. I'm used to traffic from Shannon but I thought this was odd, it was definitely two seperate aircraft but they seemed to be following each other at reasonable close quarters. I've check flight radar and there was no departures from Shannon during this time period.

Anyway I can find out more about these flights might have been?

    Does FlightRadar show all flights?

Spotted another set of lights travelling in the same direction as last night at around the same time, but again nothing on Flight Radar to match it?

Just flew over me at 30kft, why does this not fly over me in the daytime with no clouds so I could get a good photo!

AN-225 is heading for Keflavik and then to Toronto.

very strange reading now on fr24, gulfstream 5 on approach after doing a circle and still at 25,000 ft???

has to be an error or there is something serious wrong - it appears to be in a holding pattern now.

Delta plane just took off the Wrightstown, is that normal?

All going on at Shannon tonight! The gulfstream does look accurate to me.

Yeah, Delta doing a USAF charter so I believe.

Edit: Now descending down to FL80 in the hold.

    Gulfstream requesting descent for approach.

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,346 ✭✭✭✭homerjay2005

starting to descend now, this screenshot is a few mins old.

any idea why it was so high and had to circle, due to the delta plane?

the G'stream originated in Bahrain, can imagine somebody fairly wealthy is onboard, but its a strange time to be landing. refuelling perhaps and heading off to the states?

coming in at 25,000 feet is really strange however, at this time of night going into a hold doesnt make much sense.

Don't know why it would be connected to the Delta take off, I'm guessing it's weather issues?

Gulstream now on ground and taxiing.

Very disappointed with FR24's icon for Mriya!

Definitely needs a unique icon - especially as it's the only flying example as far as I know.
