Apologies for my obtuse reply Pat, just on BBC News (and indeed just heard on ATC at Cork) no inbounds to London area until 19:00.

I think he means if there was alot of flights circling for a long time than we would hear of more squawks but by looking now everything seems to be ok and normal, If anything they will have a quite hour* as planes are only leaving there destination now.

    * Beginning in the hour the held up planes are down of course :)

Not sure if anyone noticed FR321 (EI-DYT) operated a charter for Sunway to Rovaniemi from Cork this morning, with a two day layover for the crew I might add!! :)

Cant say for sure, could be wrong. But there was to have been one of those planes yesterday doing a "Santa" flight for sick kids. Maybe the fire tenders were out to help the atmosphere for the kids. I was on one of the Ryanair "Santa" flights yesterday in Shannon and they had 3 fire tenders parked up nearby, to build the atmosphere with lights and sirens going. Like a previous poster had said, it was a great day, thanks to all those involved in doing it.
