Probably due to aircraft type. How many runways does CDG have? One behind him seems to be at lower altitutde so perhaps they're landed fine.

Lot of a bad mumblings on twitter in relation to AF1746, has a normal transponder so there should be no issues with it appearing. My initial thought was T-MLAT.

Can't see it anymore either but it was on MLAT, I think they often "vanish" at low altitude on fr24. Other planes coming in so assume/hoping he's OK

Report on twitter that the aircraft has crashed. Air France have just tweeted saying its returning back to CDG.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,179 ✭✭✭✭fr336

Well if it's crashed someone should tell the other aircraft on approach as they're still going for it. Bloody Twitter and their experts.

Yep, some dodgy "news" agency. Air France tweeting that it's a medical emergency

Screenshot can't seem to pick it up? Very sceptical myself of the report on twitter - Seem's AF are in overdrive on there!

They probably saw it "stall" on fr24 and Tweeted it as a crash there and then.

It's a whore of a place to negotiate as a passenger (in my admittedly limited experience).

I think I'll go with Air France's version of events :D

That so called ''News Agency'' on Twitter have corrected their statement after being contacted by AF, I smell a suit. :p Aircraft back on the ground safely, medical emergency.

The media like to think they are the authority on the world and everyone in it. This bunch look like an amateurish Twitter mob though tbh.
