Apperantly all delays on Ryanair flights are not their fault. An ATC delay at Kerry is unheard of.

    whats involved!?

Clear line of sight within about 10 miles of airport.

    Scanner

    Decent antenna / coax

    24/7 pc on and broadband.

    Easy.

Kerry-Luton now on their way with replacement aircraft http://www.flightradar24.com/RYR14ET/52cc522

This will probably mess up the LTN base slightly, only 4 based aircraft there.

I would assume purely from an operational point of view, the crew who operated FR842 LTN-KIR EI-DWV, are operating the delayed return FR843 KIR-LTN EI-DYD. EI-DWV will then remain on the ground at KIR until its able to position to DUB with the crew who positioned down on EI-DYD. More than likely EI-DYD positioned down with engineers on-board also. There's plenty of FR aircraft at DUB to cover the schedule there.

Ah yes, I meant with the more immediate flights out of LTN tonight - the one to DUB is delayed until 1am apparently due to this but the one coming over from DUB is on time with a DUB based crew. Good info all the same though thanks.

A rejected take off is an incident?
I've had two in the last ten years so assumed they're pretty common.

I'm wondering if that is wrong and should be an A330, no?

    It was a 777. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/125118100@N04/14721502966/

If i had a choice I would not be flying back to Ireland at stupid o clock anyway.

Anyone know the reason of the delay on the AC1909. Just departed Dublin for Toronto with over 2 hours delay?

True! I've done that on those flights before.... It's actually pretty close to your natural US time for bed. Would only be 11 PM/Midnight on the east coast US.

BA1 has hit the skies again after quite an absence over the Christmas. Nice to see the little red and white baby plane flying around again.

It all depends on whether they are heading home, or perhaps connecting onwards. Perhaps they connected to get to JFK originally. I'm sure some pax slept, some watching TV, some read books, some chatted to their mates. Just because an arrival time seems horrid to you doesn't mean that it does not suit everyone else. Getting out into arrivals at 0500 (approx an hour after touchdown) would suit some US travellers as its 0000/2300 at home, perfect bed time.

Personally I am a fan of early in, as above, sleep till noon and you are ready to slot back into Irish time.
