Bad here with gusts in Dublin 5 at the moment. The sustained winds aren't too strong though when there's a break. Keeping an eye on EIN104 at the moment.

Another EI talking to EIN104 there I think - communicating winds. Presume they were on the ground.

ATC just said that it's gusting to 52 - surely that's outside the tolerance for the A330? Nevertheless, they're prepping for landing on runway 16.

    How's SNN looking?

The Shamrock heavy only went and did it!

Flightradar shows on the ground while they are asking for Windcheck.. Perhaps a minute delay as feed goes to server and streams

    EIN136 from Boston next in

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭bajer101

EI04 reported bad wind sheer. They're talking about bringing runway 28 back into play.

    SRR6528 aiming for RWY16

    ETA: Now wants 28

EIN136 holding for a bit before hopefully an approach

EIN136 just passed low over Dublin 5. Is it heading for 28?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,178 ✭✭✭bajer101

I'm having difficulty hearing the chatter on my laptop with the noise of the wind. I think I heard EI136 say that they were going to wait for for the wind to drop below 40 before they make an approach and that there was no point in making an attempt unless they were sure that they would have a chance.

Not sure but what it's doing at the moment is heading for the hold.

EI pilot sounding a bit peeved with the situation tbh lol

I will boost the volume a bit

Maersk going to give it a go ahead of Shamrock 136.

Let me know if any distortion due to higher volume

Still gusting here at the moment. They're probably better off circling until a break appears.

    SRR6528 for 28 apparently

Mech1, I would like to say many thanks for this stream. It's superb and very addictive in conjunction with PlanefinderHD App on the Ipad.

Yes, he said he will divert to Shannon if the wind doesn't go below the 330 limits

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,179 ✭✭✭✭fr336

Do ops have a habit of sounding unimpressed..second time I've heard one that came across a tad bemused :D (the other was a pilot telling them of a fueller not filling them correctly and potentially getting them into a very bad situation)

SRR6528 has disappeared from my fr24 but still on atc

Maersk just disappeared off the radar?!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.
