When the jets start abandoning, you know the wind is serious ;). The wind will die quickly though, it was amazing how fast the rain system passed.

16 maybe. I don't remember ever seeing approach or take off from 34.

Thanks Pat good info here from the EI ops here. Ops is most interesting in these situations in my opinion, but then I've been listening for a good year now :D

Just out of the limits for them, one of the EI's starting run low on juice

I've seen approach to 34 once, due to works on the main runway. Was very jealous of those on board the arriving aircraft.

http://www.flightradar24.com/EIN529/53a5517 was asking EI ops about diverting. Would prefer SNN but could do Aldergrove also.

No it's all a conspiracy by a little man by the name of Pat to get his liveatc feed top of the list, so far working famously.

    But yes, wind

One of the EI's asking their ops about diverting to Manchester as SNN apparently full and Aldergrove is filling up.

Came in on 34 back in April 2012.. It was just after a beautiful spell of weather ended where it hit the mid 20s'

    Not a nice experience.
Flying into the teeth of a north wind on a BMI. Once we hit Clontarf, it was like being on a rickety old rollercaoster.

The then 2 year old decided to empty the contents of his tummy just as we touched down and he wasn't the only one to do so on board.

I've taken off on 16 and 34 (16 yesterday, in fact), but never landed on either. Now, if it would happen in daylight it'd be nice!
