    Shannon is not full.

Aer Lingus aircraft are limited due to handling arrangements.

Coulple extra FR's going in possibly in a half hour.

I imagine the flight with the minor would be a priority for diverting to an airport on this island rather than the UK.

Are Linus Control is now suggesting the airports

Really impressed with how the pilots and ATC handle weather like this. No panic. Calm, composed and in control.

And nobody wants to go to Cork either

  • Registered Users Posts: 116 ✭✭Gotfoodforphil

This may be a stupid question, but checking the wind at the airports (shannon and belfast) and it seems to be as bad or worse there? Belfast is showing winds of 31 kts on fr24, dublin is showing 28 kts....

Can anyone explain this to me?

Tell that to the FR that just took off! The news can do one, we can make our own news live.

Don't ask me for the flight sign, but EI. Wanted to divert to Shannon but was told it would be bad from a handling pov, would you like to go to Cork from a company pov??

Captain said no, Cork winds not good either, he's going to Shannon and will take the consequences re handling.

He is the boss. And rightly so.
