UAL23 holding by the looks of it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,674 ✭✭✭aaabbbb

looks like he's heading to Cardiff or Bristol! or further afield!

Just giving all on board value for their air fare with a sweeping whistle stop tour of the british isles first maybe !?

Wouldn't let mangement know however or they'll be on about "excessive expenses" and "profit margins !" yada yada yada....

At current heading I guess AAL290 is going to Heathrow or Gatwick? Most strange to bypass DUB though?

maybe it was mislabelled? it happens sometimes...

edit: perhaps not! perhaps their ops told them to not even try it in DUB!

Delta and Etihad now coming into the equation. They might be holding for a little while!

Yeah the American over Wales is definitely due into DUB - clearly laughing at his yank colleagues and speeding off to London

They are well used to worse weather than this. They will do fine.

Maybe, but they are not used to landing in Dublin in this weather. EI and FR boys are landing ok in conditions that seem to be outside normal tolerances - the Yanks may pull out.

No idea really was hoping someone else could tell me ?

I could only hazard a wild guess at best that they were in two minds about attempting any landing at all 'cos there was also talk of contacting the airline company and then getting back to ATC

United pilot to DUB atc: "I guess it's rocking pretty bad up there right now?"

UAL25 Newark-Shannon landed on it's first attempt. Looks like it's not as bad there as DUB at the moment.

Clearly had a party to get to in London; used the windy Irish conditions as an excuse to speed off there.

*My lawyer says this post may be completely inaccurate.
