For ships and rescue aircraft equipped with AIS. I don't think there are any ATC feeds for Sligo so you won't hear them.

Wouldn't they be in contact with Shannon Low Level Freq. 119.075 until they are approaching EISG?

Both choppers are heading out to a vessel 50 miles away. Rescue 118 just did a coms check with Shannon.

I wonder is the French boat that says destination killybegs heading to it too?

Thats way up to the north. It doesn't seem to be moving either. The second chopper has made some serious ground catching up to the first.

That first helicopter hasn't updated in over 39 minutes tho whilst the second one has. Think they're going out of range...

Yeah, I was thinking that as i keep hearing one of them talking to ground.
My the way, 118 has just mentioned that they have 25 miles to go to the vessel,

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,652 ✭✭✭greenpilot

Confirmed. Rescue 115 is at the vessel and rescue 118 is 12 miles from 115 at 3000 feet. He will then be loitering at the position of 115. Probably to give top down assistance.

Well DUB is for want of a better word a tad boring tonight. Feel like demanding my licence money back.

Patient transfer now occurring out at sea with both choppers over vessel.

Vessel not showing on marine traffic though

Ethiad ETD42 just departing Dublin now for Abu Dhabi I'm guessing.
I think I remember reading somewhere this normally leaves Dublin at 08:20.
It obviously didn't get away this morning in the bad weather.

It diverted to Manchester this morning on the inbound leg and only got to Dublin at about 16:40. Quite a delay..

The AUH-DUB leg that was due to land at 6:50 diverted to MAN and returned to DUB at around 16:40. Only leaving now.

Meanwhile, the afternoon flight landed and departed again on time.
