I wonder was this a training exercise ? They appear to have returned to Shannon and to Foynes without going to any major hospital.
    Interesting all right.

What does this bring up for you guys? http://www.flightradar24.com/AAL291

ETA: Never mind. Waste of time :D

Just spotted EI104 pass directly over my house this morning. I'd been tracking it on FR24 and listening to the feed when I heard the rumble of the engine overhead , looked out the window and BANG it was there ! Flying so low it seemed I could nearly touch it :D

I've waited ages to be able to do that tbh but it's never clear enough out or quiet enough until tonight ! :)

EI2124, just after departing Dallas. Is this one of the leased 767's?

  • Registered Users Posts: 125 ✭✭arbour

Looks like its an Omni Air positioning to ORD to do the ORD-DUB leg for Aer Lingus. EI124 was cancelled this morning Dub-ORD

The leases are 757s, they're not in service yet and they'll be in full EI colours when they are.

Positioning flight for a TA route sounds about right.

No, I was just got the last message with Shannon ATC as there were instructed to speak to NOC tower, then I could not get the NOC feed to stream for some reason.

Hope they weren't too ill. They were nearer to Dublin when they turned, and it's still a bit if a hike from Knock to a decent hospital. Odd decision if it was a medical turn back.

A medical diversion back to NOC from there is intriguing.

Indeed, can't have been more than 20 mins in the air. Hope all is ok in any case.

I can see planes coming into Dublin airport from the back of my house. I literally look up from my laptop screen and I can see lights in the distance going by, right to left.

This is my field of vision:

I get excited like a kid when I'm looking at Flightradar and a plane hits the mark, I look up and there it is. :)

edit: actually the field is a bit wider than that, that line represents the middle I guess. I just saw EIN685 and could track it all the way to over the tombola to the left.

Well DUB is for want of a better word a tad boring tonight. Feel like demanding my licence money back.

I know it's not as interesting as when the weather dies down but there can be interesting chatter on the ATC feed, keep an eye on the EIDW FEED UP AND GOING WELL thread too!

Might be an idea to subscribe to these threads and get email notifications when they get updated :)
