I'm assuming too also; wet runway at DUB anyway. United 23 seems to be holding as well.

    ETA: Yeah definitely wind.

REA1NC to Shannon just turned around altogether over Irish sea?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭randy hickey

Looks like UAL23 (a 757) elected to go into ULTAG hold rather than attempt a landing.

Wind doesntlook as bad as it has in recent days (at lesat on the net)

http://www.flightradar24.com/REA1NC -- supposed to be going to shannon, holdng off Dublin?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Is this definitely for SNN; think it may be an error with fr24 and it's for DUB

Ah it just seemed to be going back on itself for a bit there..I almost thought it was stalling!

I never realised how accurate FR24 until I saw the departures from runway 16 passing overhead. I was following them on the app and the path was spot on. I always thought there would be a delay.

What is Shannon higher and Shannon lower?

Lower covers below FL245 (24,500ft) and high is above that. High is typically divided into different sectors depending on traffic flows, time of day etc
