EI-LAX is off to Tobago airport on Tobago island in the Carribean! Definitely not calling in. I would say it's a tad warmer over there than here today!

Yeah the smaller planes can do that - they use MLAT for radar which is hit and miss on fr24.

Lads, due to fly to London with EI @17:30, chances of flight being delayed/cancelled given the expected winds in London?

From my limited knowledge - I'd say maybe a chance of delay but very slim chance of cancellation. Unless it's snow or crazy weather London doesn't really do cancellations especially in the case of limited flights (which EI is compared to RYR, EZY etc).

Is it LHR or LGW? LHR next to no chance of cancellation or even diversion.

You know things are rough when that plane can't get down. Has shown up the FR flights a few times in previous storms.

Currently lots of go arounds at Heathrow, expect a delay possibly a significant one. Wind currently is far from great significant crosswind which will throw ops way out.

Indeed, not all that rough at the minute, 14kt winds, must have been a direction change therefore a runway change required, Not showing up on FR24 but there's a BE flight inbound for RWY 9 as well.

Heathrow has lots of cancellations, its the main way an airline gets back on its feet if it cant get a larger airframe to combine flights. They simply cancel the flight and get you on a later one or refund you, they will only do this though if there is a significant delay or the weather event is likely to continue for the rest of the day.

Heathrow has numerous diversions especially during weather events.
