I currently work as a teacher full time. Next year I will take a career break to study for a masters. I was wondering if anybody could offer any advice as to whether or not I can get a grant as I will have no income for the coming year. Any advice would be much appreciated.

The grant means test is done on your previous years income.

So for 2014/2015 they would means test 2013 income. In certain circumstances you can claim a change in circumstances of earnings but this has to be "permanent"

For the 2013/2014 If your means tested income was less than 31500 gross then you could get a fee grant of 2000

All info on postgrad grants is here but subject to change every year

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
