Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Employment Law-forced into management position

Hi, I have been employed by my company for over 6 years in various departments and just over 2 years ago I applied for funding to do an MSc through the 'Education' programme. I have absolutely no interest in a supervisor/management position, but can a company force a person into a position due to business needs and to 'accept additional responsibility'. The reason that I am asking is that there will be a supervisor position becoming available at the end of the year in my department and I would like to know what I could say to not go for the position or what rights the company may have. I accept that when I put my name forward to do the MSc I would be expected to move up the ladder but this specific supervisor position is actually a horrific job. I am unsure as to what rights I have or what the company can do so any advice would be much appreciated.
