Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    has anyone been? whats good to do there? where to eat? where to stay? going midweek next week. probably have 3 nights in nantes altogether

    Nantes has quite a small concentrated central area , situated mainly around the Castle and Cathedral . In this area you will find lots of pubs and affordab le restaurants , expensive ones too . Guinness available at MCbyans pub also in the centre ,says it comes from Dublin . Worth visiting the isle with the Machines and the Elephant . You will find this area very interesting . Some recreations of Jules Verne . This area also comes to life at night ..bars , restos etc . Activity mainly at weekend . If you are renting a car there's lots to do and go , northwest coastline to San Nazaire up to La Baule , Girande , Auray and also southwise to Jean de Monts . Plenty in two full days . Rent a bike and go out from the centre .

    thanks mate. was wondering where to stay. we are staying the first night in nantes then on to poitiers to meet friends for a night then back to nantes.

    how far is it from nantes airport to city centre? is it easy to drive?

    Hi chuk y r law . Its about 30 mins into nantes from airport via tan bus .if you go by car not as easy . Centre of Nantes not easy for driving , no problem on the outskirts. Sorry dont know much about accomodation as I have local connections there when I go , but I've seen plenty of small hotels in and around the centre .If you are using car try to get hold of a gps , would be really useful there. Have fun
