Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good ball from Anita for Remy. I like Anita as a midfield player - intelligent and talented.

Myself and a few others are yes. Or do you not understand how football support works?

I'd take DiCanio at this point!

Well ... maybe not but you get the point

At this stage I dont think there is a manager in the world that could really want to work at newcastle ...

I'd Love poyet, but think he'll end up at sunderland...

It's coming up on a decade since he last played for them but even now, every time I see Everton play, I expect to see Kevin Kilbane in a blue jersey.

So what was the plan in the first half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Much better... wouldn't be hard in fairness. Bit o' bollocks about yiz now lads.

He's got his standard yellow in.

Waiting for a reckless red any minute now.

Yup, need him to b chained to the bench in the next game, up to his usual tricks with the ball today too!

Newcastle players look like a weight has been lifted from their shoulders. Matching Everton in every department. egs the question, what were the first half instructions?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

    @McNallyMirror
The certain things in life- death, taxes and a booking for Tiote

    Coleman has been very impressive.

Nobody busting a gut to get up to speed with Remy that time is frustrating.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,746 ✭✭✭TaosHum

At least they are having a go. Little too late though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,161 ✭✭✭✭M5

Coleman has had a fistful of Gouffran's shirt or shorts so many times tonight, yet to be pulled for it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Should've been Tiote who came off. Anita's been good... Well, in a squad of crap players.

I can almost hear the gizzum from pardew already lauding our second half "performance"

Gouffran good value for his spot. Only decent player in the first

Agreed. Though I'll always have a soft spot for Sagna. Probably my favourite player in the league.

Sagna is absolute dog poo at right back lately and has performed much better at centre back

I'll not hear a bad word against him. Now silence!!

"Baines puts the ball into places keepers can't reach"

    Yeah, Row F.

    Yeah, Row F.

Or else in the top corner in Jaaskeleinen's net. From over 20 yards out. Twice. In one game. And he's a right back.

    3-2.... not happy with that.

Newcastelesque defending (0r was it sparkling NUFC attacking?)

Everton doing their very best to throw this away.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,917 ✭✭✭✭GT_TDI_150

    Isn't he a left back?

Unacceptable first half performance masked by Everton's perhaps complacent second half performance. I'm sure Pardew will have a positive spin...

Well you hardly think it's sparkling Newcastle attack anyway considering the confidence you have in your team ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Tenner bets Pardew uses these two goals as a smoke screen and forgets about how shít we've been.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

So wtf happened in the first half then? Why did we refuse to press, close down or tackle a single blue shirt?

Most annoying thing about this "comeback" is it gives Pardew a stick to wave now.

I am really starting to hate the sight of Lukaku. 4 in 3 vs us now.

Haha that was poor on my behalf. But lets not let that shy us away from your ridiculous comment :)

Very contrasting halves there. Very odd game overall I must say.

What ridiculous comment? The commentator said Baines puts balls into the net where the keeper can't reach them right before he smashed it into the stands.

    I just found it amusing.

the only good thing about tonight was the 9/1 for lukaku and remy to score

That loss leaves newcastle languashing in 16th position in the table, level on points with manchester united.

    :pac:
