Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Brown daft with the challenge, was yellow though. Neymar's play-acting got the red. Brown should know better tbh.

Nah the linesman obviously saw the kick when Neymar was on the ground, the ref had the yellow out for the first foul but no argument about the red card from me

Brown's was a red all day. Stupidy. Could cost his team the game

barca are for the taking here, need more belief

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,325 ✭✭✭RoryMac

    Jaysus unlucky there, twice!!

Hopefully not tempting fate but Barca have been really poor, another game where if Celtic had a little more self belief we'd have a great chance of taking 3 points

    Edit: F**K you fate

Getting sick of these glorious defeats, Lennon imo sets us up too conservatively for these games. We could have gotten points from both CL games so far if we pushed on a bit.

Hopefully Lennon watches the Brown sending off before he comments, it was stupid from Brown and although it didn't have an immediate affect it cost us.

But most of all I blame Dempsey for jinxing it!!

Stokes didn't start up front. On paper he did, but in the 1st half it was Samaras up front and Stokes was in a similar role to what Commons plays along with Commons.

Lennon wanted to buy a striker to replace Hooper - didn't happen. Pukki is a similar type to Stokes.

In fairness I did say that we wouldnt keep a clean sheet and we need to be clinical before the game! If only Mulgrew scored that sitter... :(

Stokes was terrible when we didnt have the ball, he jogged towards the ball with no real desire to win the ball. It was pathetic tbh. Pukki closed people down with some desire and made life difficult for the opposition. Stokes can have no excuses for when he's dropped for big games.

Ajax got a draw tonight, could be our ultimate downfall.

I thought Celtic were very poor tonight in the first half. Played with more confidence 2nd half and had some chances. Brown should really know better, and in hindsight can't complain about the red I suppose.

Time for the players to step up. They have enough experience at this level to make a better go of things, certainly at home.

Ajax drew with Milan. Game on for 2nd or 3rd place.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Lol at Lennon saying Neymar has a reputation, so does Brown and he certainly lived up to it.

He let his side down big time tonight.

Assuming we do both Milan and Ajax at home, and take something from Ajax away? I think we're game on for 4th tbh!
