Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Analytical Interview

    I have a phone interview with a leading IT company on Friday which involves analytical questions. I was wondering how I can prepare for such questions?

    Any sample questions or typical questions that could arise would be much appreciated

    I think analytical is something you either are or arent...not something you can swot for...

    In the interview ask question to get more information and answer logically, making progression towards an answer each time.

    The thing is the numbers were not so important, it was all about explaining your approach, assumptions and so on...

    In such situations, I usually 'think out loud', so the interviewer and understand my thought process and how I reached my conclusions.

    This is all you have to do. It's just to demonstrate logical thinking. Just step through the problem, think about who you might have to speak to, what figures/data would be required, what personnel, what issues would potentially occur, who would be your 'experts', who'd be your business owner/sign off etc.

    There is no 100% right answer, or approach, you just need to demonstrate that you'd have the wits to put together a solution, break it into small steps and carry each out.
