Intensive hand moisturiser

My hands are in bits folks. For the past 2 weeks the palms have been dry and peeling. I think I had a reaction to latex powdered gloves. So I need some suggestions for a really good moisturiser. I've tried a couple but none are working.

Also, would you suggest exfoliation too?

I would try a gentle body wash or soap with some sugar, not too much, just a light exfoliation.

This is hands down the best hand cream I have ever tried, its expensive, but a little goes a long way and it lasts for ages. I would get 3-4 months from a tube to be honest.

I have never used this hand cream, but I have used their body cream and found it amazing for the dry skin on my legs/stomach/back.

I swear by this one too, its similar to the EA cream, but thicker (so you need a very tiny amount), but its fantastic. I've had dry skin on the sides of my hands and this is the only thing that fully gets rid of it.

I've also used this too and found it fantastic. I can't find it on boots.ie but it is in store as I have seen it.

I can't remember the exact price but it is around €10 I think. I found it quite thick so again a little goes a long way.

My mum swears by this stuff, I personally find it greasy.

l'occitane shea butter hand cream is in my opinion the best I've ever used, it's pricey, but it lasts forever.

sleeping with a good rich hand cream on under cotton gloves is supposed to do wonders for your hands, personally I've tried it but always wake up with the gloves off somehow :rolleyes:

here's a basic recipe for a hand scrub
Use 2 parts sugar (regular white or brown sugar work great) to 1 part oil (almond, olive and coconut are great), add 1/2 tsp Vitamin E oil (or the gel from a few capsules), and mix well.

Another vote for L'occitaine! It's amazing def worth the hefty price tag. I use No 7 Hand Savioud exfoliater and I adore it. My hands are always unbelievable soft after it. And they feel the same for days after. I got mine as part of a set in boots last Christmas, the exfoliater and a hand cream for about €15.

My hands were in awful shape last winter and i only thing that worked was E45 moisturising hand cream. It worked super fast too

€15 for a 30ml of that cream is expensive, the full size 75ml tube is €27 in Debenhams (and other places that sell it, and is better value).

I'd be a big fan of Mane n Tail hoofmaker myself- I sometimes get eczema on my hands and this doesn't irritate it.

It is not specifically a hand moisturiser, but Elave Intensive Cream is great for dry irritated skin. They have a hand treatment as well but I haven’t tried it.
