Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Must say, its nice to see Moyes look angry on the bench. Looks more like himself.

Hoofing it to Fellaini will grate on me very quickly however

The ref has something against Afro man

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Ref can **** off with that. How was that a free out?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

Fellaini giving away far too many frees.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 666 ✭✭✭collie0708

F***ing ref doing my head in he is not letting the game flow at all....

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,500 ✭✭✭Your Airbag

Fellaini getting right into the mix here. He is making a right nuisance of himself and the defense look bothered.

    Good to see.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Ref left everything go in the first 15 minutes now he is blowing for everything

Wasn't sure why he went it Val and Welbeck but no doubt they were the right selections with how Shaktar use the full backs.

Our tactics bug me, in general our players stay too far away from each other

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,080 ✭✭✭✭Maximus Alexander

Some of Cleverley's long passes are shocking.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    Cleverley has been anonymous.

The only person who would be surprised by that would be Pro F :P

Please bring on Kagawa for Cleverley and let him play behind Van Persie. It will be magical.

If they can keep Srna quiet then it will be a job well done

Taison not able to punch through our midfield yet.

That's fine I'll take that, I taught shakhtar would be all over us.

Would be a nice time to try it alright, nothing to stop it. Carrick and Fellaini should provide enough defensive solidity to allow it. Not like Cleverley pulling up too many trees anyway out there or Kagawa could contribute much less

Shakhtar are really poor, they've no quality from what I can see.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,193 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Playing alright, look solid enough when they have the ball.

Hopefully the ball into RVP will improve in the second half, badly need to give him good ball to his feet,so he can do his thing.

    Cleverley has been anonymous.

    He really hasn't.

Very happy with the defensive shape of the team tonight. 4141 I'd call it. Looks really solid.

Was very happy with how the team held on to the ball up until the goal. They've been giving it away a bit too cheaply since the game has worn on though. RvP has been doing great work holding the ball up whether he gets support or not.

Our passing in general has been a bit laboured.

They've held the ball well but anyone could do that against us. We're doing well defensively but Vidic, Smalling and Fellaini will clear crosses all day. They've not looked dangerous at all, a lot of people made them out to be a lot better than I'm seeing tonight.

Looks more like we're not letting them play if anything.

They haven't clicked yet, not just in this game, in general. Some talent there alright but they will need a bit of time to gel. Which is bothering me also. We could/should be further ahead, not letting them creep into it as we are

Looking at the bench I think its safe to say Giggs will be first on when the time comes.

I can see this Shaktar team causing us hell at OT,very quick on the ball at times.

Midfield is working well but Fellani looks a bit out of his depth tbh

Its guaranteed he will come on. Winning, losing or drawing.

Just hope he (Moyes) uses the opportunity to have a look at RVP and Kag working together in a 9, 10 scenario

Fellaini needs to work on his speed. He's too damn slow for a 25 year old man. I know he's a big heavy guy but so is Usain Bolt.

  • Registered Users Posts: 919 ✭✭✭RVD420

    Giggs warming up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,022 ✭✭✭jamesbere

Fellaini needs to stop losing the ball.

It really is only a matter of time before Shakhtar score.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    Taxi for Cleverley yet?

For, imaginatively I would wager, Giggs

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,364 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

    Vidic is immense.

Really need to get a second goal to wrap it up.

Fellaini is having a shocker loses the ball every time he gets it and is giving away stupid frees all over the pitch
