Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Missed this last week on more 4 and the only way I could find to catch up on it on tv before tomorrow's episode is to watch it at 2:45 am tomorrow!!
Given how often shows are repeated on more 4 and 4seven, why isn't The Good Wife repeated as often?

I thought it was on the Channel 4 iplayer service?

"US pace" means the last episode you saw involves Alicia Florick giving a keynote speech to the American Law Association (with flashbacks).
How you saw it should be irrelevant. The next episode airs on Sunday night stateside.

I am in total shock :(

i did not see that coming, not at all,

i am just, shock doesn't even cover it,
it feels like a good friend died to be honest, i am gutted

a testament i think to just how great the good wife is as a tv series, you never know what way it's going to go, but still has the ability to suck you into their fictional world.

This is how I feel too and then I'm like, cop on you
    didn't know him!!

    Ah man. I'm reading that
he wanted to leave the show. He had a long chat with Julianna Margulies about it as they are good friends in real life.
Fair play to them for keeping this a secret though. In this day and age, that's rare!

I didn't think I could be more shocked than episode 1 of season 2 of House of Cards and the scence with Kevin Spacey in the subway.

    As mentioned above
great to see Michael J Fox back

Will be interesting to see what direction the show takes now.
The whole underlying theme of the show was that one day she would have to choose between Will & Peter

Still the best show on TV!

Wow did not see that coming, I'm glad at least they gave us closure at the end of this episode instead of leaving it as a cliffhanger until next week. I'm really going to
miss the Will and Diana interactions.

    Alicia also found out

Incorrect as he is only appearing for 4 episodes according to the writers

Why all the spoiler tags as this thread is for the US pace Season 5

just because its a massive plot twist and i didn't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet,

i would watch at us pace, but might check in here while in college during the day, but not get to watch it until later that night....

It's a ballsy mood alright but I think this event will hang like a dark cloud over this show until its end. I'd say the rest of the season will be everyone being depressed all the time.

Exactly. Just because it's US pace doesn't mean we shouldn't use spoiler tags. I subscribe to this thread and a number of others in this forum and I have had a number of major plot twists spoiled in other shows because people haven't used spoiler tags and I have seen it in my email.

Matthew Goode, who played Finn Polmer, Will's opposing councel in THAT episode
has been made a series regular. He will continue to appear in the rest of Season 5 and hopefully into Season 6.

Delighted as I fancy the pants off him :o

I know, I'm probably going to be a mess but I can't wait for it now. Is it sad that I'm happy the weekend is almost over as we'll get to see the episode tomorrow!!?

    Whew! That was emotional.

Everyone played a blinder this episode. Diane kicking that intern out, followed by the asshole client. Brilliant stuff.

Kalinda at the jail cell. Alicia's breakdown in the car. This show needs more recognition at awards time; it really is in another league.

Surprisingly, the scene that set me off the most was David Lee's moment alone in the office. I thought he was going to start calling clients or something, but his nonchalance turning into quiet devastation was heartbreaking to watch.

I really can't wait to see where the show goes from here. This season has been simply outstanding.

Pretty solid follow up episode for me. I think they've done well to portray the aftermath of what happens when someone is swiftly taken away, like it would in real life.

Alicia never found out what Will wanted to say to her but at least we know he wasn't mad at her, thanks to Finn. That scene was interesting though. He tells Alicia he asked to see pictures of his kids, shortly after he calls Alicia.....

The David Lee scene was done so well. You think for a moment the little cogs in his brain are scheming already, but no, he needed to get to a quite place to take his moment to react. That was well done.

Eli reading out Alicia's speech was funny. Diane firing the intern who barely knew Will! Kalinda's taunting of Jeffery. Cary's anger. Peter not really knowing what to do. Diane firing the client (albeit OTT) and David Lee backing her up. All little moments that were done well.

I liked that Alicia called Kalinda when she didn't know what to do. I want to see more scenes with Kalinda and Alicia, they used to be some of my favourite. For a moment I thought Kalinda was going to tell her to come with her, on her quest (for whatever) but it didn't happen. So they need to remedy that in future episodes.
