Anybody any experience of Quiet Camping there?
Have been in Family Camping 4-5 times with three kids. Trying to exchange weekend tickets for family camping at the moment with no response from EP, was thinking of quiet camping area if we couldn't exchange as Jimi Hendrix with the kids doesn't appeal to me having been in JH a few times myself.

There isn't designate quiet camping anymore afaik. Your best bet is head to the back of Oscar Wilde, that's the quietest spot.

Do more research. One of this years headliners played in a tent one year.

Eh? Have one of this year's headliners headlined EP in a previous year? And from a tent, no less? Care to tell us who that was?

I mean as a headliner. Fatboy Slim, Bjork and Arctic Monkeys played on the Main Stage last year, The Cure, The Killers and Sigur Ros the year before that. I understand your disappointment, but it was always going to be that way.

Yeh Chic played the Electric Arena in 2009.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Friends with a lad on Facebook who is part of the casa bacardi team, building is well and truly under way there today judging by the picture just posted now :)

    Do share!!

On sub note this time of year had to be the most unproductive period in work, flat out on boards, trying to get times/line up info, weather and tent gadgets ;)

They weren't an official headliner that year...? It was Flaming Lips, Madness/Orbital and Basement Jaxx

Thought I was the only dosser:cool:

Been putting in 14-16 days cos im taking off the Thursday before going back on the Wednesday and work is mental. Though im sure if I wasnt constantly checking boards, twitter and web for news and day breakdowns I wouldnt have to put in those hours.

Just want to be in a field with my tent, mates and cans getting all hyped up for the first acts. Roll on next friday

Plenty of headliners have gone to the electric arena over the years. They are more suited to an indoor stage.

No they haven't. The three top headliners always play the main stage.

Them on an indoor stage, the clue was in my sad smiley face. Icons such as these are used to express sadness or disappointment when expectations or hopes fail to manifest.

    1. Grow up and stop throwing your toys out of the pram because you didn't get what you want.
    2. Use common sense in future. Festival headliner = main stage. This is very basic stuff.

What time are people planning on arriving at? Got there at about 12 last year and the JH was nearly full! Ended up camping beside the amusements which was far from ideal. I miss the days when you could stroll in at 2pm and have no problem finding a good spot.

Whether they are or are not (I can't say, not having seen them before, though I assumed that would be true of Massive Attack before and was wrong), the fact remains that the three top headliners will always play the main stage whether it's the best place for them or not.

Pet Shop Boys aren't headliners. Look at the poster, they're on the second row, the headliners are the top three acts.

This is like explaining the world is round.
