Same here, I've always ended up in Hendrix but thought Wilde was quieter.

I dont think there is much in it, its all down to your neighbours really. if you get some Ar**oles who are pilled up and enjoy a singsong at 5am you are pretty much banjaxed no matter where you are.

Hendrix is definitely more mental than Wilde.

Ive been scanning the threads for a breakdown of the different campsites but cant seem to come across a definitive one.

Its been a few years for me, has anyone posted a brief one liner review or something similar of the different sites. Like which is the quiet one, the noisy one, the messy one, pro's con's etc?

It would be much appreciated and Im sure helpful to others?

    Cheers D

there's not much difference between them really, all much of a muchness.

This week is seriously dragging, very much looking forward to those first few cans on Friday afternoon!

I’ve heard the Wilde campsite is a bit more chilled out than Hendrix, so ideally would like to camp there. Myself and herself will be arriving in Stradbally at about half 1 on Friday, will the Wilde campsite be starting to fill up at that stage?

Also our friend’s going to be camping with us, however she won’t be down there until maybe 4pm, would there be any hassle trying to save a bit of space for her tent?

    Cheers!

you'll b fine at half 1 i'd say. at 4 it will be pretty full, but if it's only 1 tent you should be able to keep a space for her until she arrives. if you can get her tent and bring it down with you and set it up once you've done yours, that would be best.

All times released by midday tomorrow and EP has launched their app. Clashfinder go go go tomorrow.

  • Registered Users Posts: 320 ✭✭AlanDeGenerous

The Electric Picnic app is now live!
All you need to do is go to http://bandapp.com/electricpicnic and add to your Home Screen. You can add timetables, reminders, find out all about the performers and chat to other Electric Picnic fans.
All stage times will be released tomorrow at midday on the app.

Finally, they're getting proactive about the stage times.

I needed to close and reopen the app for it to work for me.

It's showing days and stages for the remaining acts who are playing the Electric Arena, Cosby, Little Big Tent and Rankins Wood stages. No specific times until tomorrow.

Relieved to see Glass Animals are playing the Little Big Tent on Sunday as well as their set in Body & Soul. Won't need to choose between them and Outkast.

an HTML5 web app which needs constant Internet connection... at a music festival. yep, taht's clever.

Seems it takes a while to load the app up the first time... give it a few mins.

Interestingly running order for other stages is listed

    Rankin - Saturday
    - Booka Brass Band
    - Vann Music
    - Twin Shadow
    - Cathy Davey
    - Walking on cars
    - Annie Mac
    - Omar Souleyman
    - le Galaxie

    Rankin - Sunday
    - Acrobat
    - Jenny Lewis
    - Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks
    - Neneh Cherry
    - Jungle
    - Flume
    - Kelis
    - The minutes

    Cosby - Sat
    - Wyvern Lingo
    - Sheppard
    - Benjamin Booker
    - The Orwells
    - Temples
    - White Denim
    - The Blades
    - BP Fallon

    Cosby - Sun
    - The Whereabouts
    - VAncouver Sleep Clinic
    - The Districts
    - Unknown Moral Orchestra
    - Drenge
    - Wolf Alice
    - Asgeir
    - The Horrors
    - Slowdive

No times, but given the few confirmations (Wyvern Lingo, BLades, Cathy Davey etc) they all seem to tie in..

times seem to be in the JSON returned from bandapp but not shown in app

    check out this link:
    https://www.bandapp.com/app/data/eventStageOutput.php?_dc=1409157513630&brandid=17875&all=1&limit=25

search for something like twin shadow and see there's a time variable part of his JSON. i'll clean it up and get the info now

I really hope that's wrong. Otherwise it could be a Wolf Alice - St. Vincent clash and a Horrors - Beck/Outkast clash

I think I mentioned this before, but I use the app to do out a rough plan for the days, take screen shots of the plans, and never go near the app again unless we find ourselves wondering what else is on at any point.

Kaytranada and SBTRKT clashing :( absolutely ridiculous I'm sure almost everybody who wanted to see Kaytranada will have SBTRKT as one of their must-sees for the weekend
