What's the clashfinder missing before it's good to go printing-wise?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,501 ✭✭✭PabloAndRoy

    For the Android App:

Nasty bug raised its ugly head.

The entry name for Le Galaxie changed on the clashfinder and that means (oh forget the technical stuff…)…

Basically if you had Le Galaxie in your reminders (or any other act whose name has changed on the clashfinder) the app won't start anymore.

I pushed a new version to the play store and it fixes the problem. You will lose Le Galaxie from your Itinerary and Reminders and you will need to add them again. It will take a couple of hours for the update to be available.

    Sorry for any inconvenience. …

What's the story with drink at this??? Can you smuggle two/three cans in with you??? Just going for the day

I went in 2011 and they only took visible cans from you - I had cans in the side pockets of shorts and they didn't even pat down - so we always had cans with us in the arena during the day.

Can anyone shed any light on this has it gotten more strict?

security has got worse for cans since 2011

the more i look at the map, the more shit it looks. the scale is so off! if i didn't know the site before, i'd be lost when i actually got there. look around the forest where rave in the woods, salty dog and trenchtown. it's pretty hard to make sense of.

i know it's a small bit different, but i prefer the 2012 maps for a general overview of the site, and it seems more in scale:

    MOD NOTE:

sick of this **** about people asking how to get booze in, talk about the gig from here on or you're banned for a week.

    Would you get any in

yup. but we shouldnt be getting terrible rain this weekend.

99% of tent leakage is down to the ground and where you put stuff inside the tent. if you have heavy stuff put into the corner then itll eventually soak it up from the ground. tents are not built to be sitting in puddles of water for 3 days.

Yeah I couldn't agree more. Just didn't know what to make of the reviews of some people. Probably morons who cant even tent right :P

Just a quick question, bought a ticket off someone and it says complimentary on it and it says 'enter any public gate' where it normally says 'property of electricpicnic' on other tickets, just asking is the ticket legit?

Bit late now, but you are probably fine

My ticket doesn't appear to have a specified gate on it, should it?

Just got the email from ticketmaster.

The "don't bring this, don't bring that" and "don't do this and don't do that".

    And then at the end,

"We really hope you have an enjoyable picnic."

    Yeah, right.

    The beer thing annoys me.
The not bringing in open bottles annoys me.
Taking the cap off me annoys me.
Not being allowed a campstove for cooking/coffee annoys me.
Being treated like a cretin annoys me.

You can do all the above at Glasto btw.

All the same though, can't wait!

I've noticed said email is also reminding me not to forget my willies!

    That's stupid alright.
You can't enter the arena with a bottle unless it's got a cap.
Then you buy a bottle inside, they take the feckin cap off!

Actually, at the security do they remove the cap on the way in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,988 ✭✭✭Monsieur Folie

Bring a few caps in your pocket/bag to place on the bottle when you buy it :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,285 ✭✭✭-=al=-

I shove a bottle cap in my sock... It's actually quite handy for when you sneak a spirit of your choice into the main arena and buy a bottle of pop in there

    8)

One time at the Hop farm festival in London I had a bottle cap confiscated from my sock...

    devastated.

Not being able to bring in your own beer is outrageous in this day and age. I never bought into the whole 'boutique' thing for this very reason. Electric Picnic is a big corporate pig.

I don't think I'll be able to get in there until about 1pm. What kind of areas are usually left in the campsites at that stage? Beside the toilets?
