Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

When I want to listen to music I do so on my ipod classic. It has a fantastic sound compared to my note 2, which although good, isn't as good. I found this to be the same when I had the xperia s, so my question is :
Does the music player on an iphone sound the same as on an ipod? and how does it compare to music played from your android.
If you use your phone for calls and music only, is the iphone the better product?

iPhone > Android > iPhone > Android > Windows Mobile > Andorid > iPhone (not moving again, now way, never, not a hope)

No offence, but you are comparing a dedicated mp3 player (and depending on the version of the classic a pretty good dac) with a phone?
Apples and oranges to pardon the pun.

If it's any use to you, I only use lossless audio on my ipod classic, so I could start a discussion with you regarding the difference between the audio quality you hear on your ipod, to what I hear on mine.

Yes, I'm wondering when you listen to music on an iphone is it comparable to listening to music on a dedicated mp3 player in this case the ipod 5th gen classic. If it is, this would certainly make me consider an iphone when my contract runs out. Make no mistake it would be a tough decision, the superamoled screen on the note 2 is superb.
I'm presuming that its the music player on the iphone is its major selling point.

I'd say they are much the same, the bitrate of your music and the quality of your earphones would be the real difference in quality.

Never noticed any difference myself when I brought the same files and earphones from an iPod touch to an android phone.

I listen to the same music on the ipod as on the note 2, with the same headphones, the ipod sounds much better.

The ipod is a dedicated music player. That's why.

Phone versus phone in a blind test, if be amazed if anyone could tell the difference.
