Wifi old router

    Have pc upstairs that does not have wifi built into so using cable but can I by any chance use Thomson below somehow

    Just wondering I have a Thomson TG585 V8/ 3E13D4 wifi certified from last company I used for internet now have UPC,
    just wondering can this be used as
    there is 4 yellow ports at the back plus 1DSL

    I don't think the other router will pick up the signal from the upc router, it would need a cable to be linked.

    You would get one like this below for about €15.

    Actually, if his router can operate as a wireless client, I imagine it would connect to his current UPC router, and serve the connection out via it's wired ports.

    I've done something similar with an old router once to get my TV connected to the internet.
