    All the Plantation related stuff.
Victoria Cross winners from Donegal - James Duffy, Robert Johnston etc..
Glenveagh Castle related stuff like John George Adair (who seems to have been a right so and so) and the Derryveagh evictions.
    Cahir O'Doherty's rebellion.
    1798 rebellion in Donegal.
    Oliver Bond.
    etc.

There's quite a good Donegal Historical Society that you might get some help from. Local libraries probably have their Annuals which would have lots of articles on local history - some written by enthusiastic amateurs, but many written by respected historians.
