Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Excellent innings from Jonathan, best of luck to Pete in the role.

Sorry to hear about Jonathan. He has put a lot of work into Irish chess over the last few years. Best wishes to Pete.

    Echo that.

Seems it's 1-0 to the loud, senseless minority, sadly.

Is there a need for a Vice-Chairman on the committee? (Except in exceptional circumstances like this) Colm Daly didn't seem to contribute anything last year (no report, for starters). It seems a regular comment that the ICU committee is too big. Does Pete really need to be replaced?

    Not great news at all.
In terms of how it impacts the running of the sport though, I don't think there's cause for panic yet. The vice-chair has taken over and if they need more people, then 9.6 gives them the right to coopt members as required.

Yep, a quick EGM to get the accounts approved and back to business.
