I am hoping to do this next week and I can't find anything on the route. Hopefully not too hilly - I'm trying to break 40mins

I did this race last year and it was very well organised and well supported.

This year they're running a chip timed 10k and 5k. The 10k is a new route & not two laps of the 5k. It has a couple of small hills but I think would be good for a PB.

This is my local GAA club's fundraiser so I ran it last year and it was spot on as races go.

The 10k should be a nice route tho not quite as flat and fast as the 5k one.

Well worth doing if looking for a nice blowout before DCM now that he long runs are begining to be wound down

Cheers lads, I'll be toeing the line for the 10k. Route looks fairly undulating for the first half but some nice long flat stretches after that. Good to know in advance that there aren't any issues with the distance. Weather looks good (not raining) for it as well!

This is my local run as well, although after 5 weeks of no running with a tendon strain and only 2 or 3 short runs I don't think there will be much chance of me getting near my PB of just over 47min. At this stage I'm just happy to getting some running done again

    Links to yesterday's results:

It was a really nice course, although undulating it wasn't too much of a strain as the inclines were generally short or gradual and there were plenty of nice downhills to recover. There was one big, sharp climb over the bridge just after the halfway point. Running the course in the opposite direction would have been significantly more difficult, so that was well judged. Well done to the organisers and volunteers and hopefully your efforts will be rewarded with a big turnout next year.
