Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ebc, non sintered for rear imo
often sold on adverts, but bought last set from a company in the uk over ebay - careful doing this though, as lot of counterfeit stuff on geebay

cotters did me better then amazon, I don't think I'd trust anything from eBay near the break system.
    (Geebay made me laugh)

aye, amazon pretty useless for bike parts in my experience

I only buy from ebay shop fronts for known shops, most my brake system is from ebay at this stage :) second hand calipers and all (from an american breakers)

Huh, I may need to rethink my eBay prejudice.

I've found this seller pretty good: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/goldfrenbrakepadsdirect/

Doesn't post direct to Ireland, but there's always ParcelMotel.

Any general advice on types of pads to buy? Brands, types etc? I want to pick some up but have no idea what type to look out for.

After the bit of research I did, EBC seem good and i got some from cotters for a reasonable price.
I couldn't find my bike in there drop down but I emailed them and they sent me the part number.

I wouldn't touch geebay for brake pads tbh.

Go to your local dealer, and since its only rear brakes get cheap pads but don't go near geebay!.

I've been using this seller on eBay for a long time for brake pads...genuine product, reasonable prices & no issues.
