Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
Iam in my early 30,s and my right knee makes a real loud clunk when I squat down and stand up again.its 100% bones rubbing.
I had an mri 2 months ago which showed a partial tear in my cartalige with a small knee effusion with a trace of fluid in hoffas pad and popliteal recess.
I went back to my Gp and he just said I needed keyhole surgery and he was sending me to a consultant.
I rang consultant office and they said I should have an appointment oct 2014!then another year after that for surgery.
If I go private, what would it cost me??
What accually can they do for my knee??
My other knee is nearly as bad.

I had my ACL reconstructed and cartilage repaired in 2009 and it cost Circa €6,000 in the Sports Surgery Clinic, Dublin my consultant was Ray Moran. What consultant is your appointment with?? Your time-scales seem very long, is that for a public consultant? From picking up the injury to getting op completed for me was 4-5 months.

mine is public health.did your knee clunk?i avoid kneeling down, but when I have to,it does be sore for hours after it.
I just got a copy of the mri report, still none the wiser except for the partial tear bit.
The work I do involves heavy lifting an twisting my knees.i am really thinking about quiting it.......put my health first for a change.
