    All,

Mayo Archery Club (North Mayo, between Castlebar and Ballina) are holding a 3D field shoot on Sunday the 13th of October 2013. This will be a 32 target shoot at our 3D course in Massbrook woods. Mostly 3D’s and a couple of paper faces for variety.

If they're any super enthusiastic archers lurking out there (IFAA / IFAF, SIFA or ITFAS affiliated) who like shooting 3D’s in an open forest setting then please drop over. We’re a pretty friendly (international) bunch of Irish, English & German aspiring archers. We’ll have people shooting self bows, American flatbows, recurve’s and compounds. Carbon, wood and aluminium shafts are all welcome.

The details are up on the SIFA & IFAF websites / event calendar's. They can be seen at the following links:

Plus we're guaranteed good weather for Sunday ... no seriously it's guaranteed! We've had mostly good weather here for weeks. If you spot any damp around here you must've brought it with you! LOL

    Regards, James.

We had a great shoot earlier today in Mayo. Approximately 30 local and visiting archers from across Ireland attended. The weather was excellent, the company better and the level of friendly competition was high. We had archers from SIFA, IFAF and ITFAS at our open shoot. Hopefully a harbinger of things to come!

I brought a camera but then decided to lazily leave it in the car. Many photos were taken and I'm sure they'll be decorating the Mayo Archery Facebook page, the new IFAF website and the SIFA site over the coming days.

Thanks to all who attended, especially those who traveled from afar. We hope you all had a good time and a safe journey home. Come and see us again sometime soon! :)

    Regards, James.
