People who should be ashamed of themselves

A couple of months ago I was taking a walk by the river when I saw a horse at the other side tied to a tree. He was on a slope and if he lost his footing he would have fallen off. He also looked like he had never been given a decent feed in his life. He was moved a few days later but still looked like he was starving.

I love horses. When they're treated properly they're some of the friendliest animals you can hope to meet.

People that neglect or abuse horses (or any other animal for that matter) should be ashamed of themselves.

I cannot get animal neglectors, seriously surrender it to a animal shelter, I know they are bursting at the seams, but better that than letting them suffer. It was on a programme not too long ago how a family were suffering in the recession and had left the dog to starve in the garden. How the Fúck could you do that?

Was reading through the thread to make sure someone covered this. How cowardly can a skanger get? I'd love to hear of one of these getting a right kicking that prevented them from ever doing it again

Exactly, I didnt do anything except roar at a bunch of teenagers like some crazy lady!! I did walk by there today and the river hadnt any rubbish in it though....coincidence?

    Probably :(

At least we know your real name. That's the moral of the story

I'd imagine that U2 employ sound engineers, promotors, scaffolders, logistics people etc, anyone needed to get up a concert. Probably local to whatever country they are playing in.

But i'm failing to see your point. I'd imagine U2 don't employ many staff in Holland, perhaps a few accountants, admin, maybe a small office. You'd prefer if they set up their company here and paid a bit more tax, and sure Dell, Intel, Ebay etc can go back to their home countries with the loss of 1000's of jobs, loss of taxes from all those wages, loss of tax from them companies and 1000's of extra people on the dole??

I dont think you've thought your argument through very well, good effort on trying though

I think people who call people in receipt of social welfare "layabouts". Sure there are people scamming the dole but to tar an entire subset of the population is reprehensible. Also people who cant mind their own business or leave others alone.

Yes, people who insist on walking their dogs, especially in parks or on beaches, and after the dog leaves a big pile of steamy shít, they happily walk away leaving some poor fúcker to step in it or a toddler to fall face first into it.

During the really hot weather during the Summer, I witnessed one such case where this lady allowed her dog to leave a fair sized steamer on the promenade at a beach then walked away despite the free doggie pooper scooper bags being near her and despite another person asking her to clean it up.

Her car was nearby, she had the doors open and was putting the dog into the boot. Maybe it was the few cooling Bulmers I had in me but I pooper scooped her dog **** and whilst walking past her car, nonchalantly threw the bag into the passenger side of the car. As the boot blocked her vision and there were lots of people walking between the parked cars, I got away with it. She drove off so I'm not quite sure when she found said present. I did feel a small pang of guilt as I think there was a baby seat in the back.

Not to defend her actions in any sense, but doing that doesn't exactly place you on the moral high ground, it's actually pretty scummy.

To me, it is the height of laziness, and something that could easily be avoided. When I'm driving behind someone and they **** something out the car window, it makes me really mad. And the attitude of 'it gives the council something to do' is pathetic. There is always something they could be doing - cutting back trees, fixing burst pipes, improving roads... They don't need to be cleaning up litter on top of all that.

All of the band-members pay their personal taxes in Ireland. Or did you mean the brand?

Should PayPal, Dell, E-Bay and the rest of the multi-nationals here in Ireland be ashamed of themselves for employing thousands of Irish people rather than employing/paying taxes in their countries of origins??

People who spout nonsensical bullshit without thinking it through should be ashamed of themselves, come to think about it.
The difference between the tech companies such as Dell, Apple, eBay, etc and U2 is that the tech companies employ thousands of people in Ireland, and continually offer positions given the strength of the technology sector. U2 on the other hand pay a few managers and accountants I'd imagine, employing a number of people you could count with your fingers. The record companies pay for all the significant costs that amount when producing records, concerts, etc.

I'm very much in the boat of allowing the Tech companies foot a tiny tax bill, if it means keeping thousands of people in their jobs and continuing to employ more people. People have to remember that Ireland is nothing special outside of our low Corporation Tax. We say we have an educated workforce, but so does the UK and many other countries that have much more to offer also. On that logic, should U2 be ashamed? From what I can tell, they seem to be taking from the system but not giving a whole pile back. I am open to being corrected on that one, but as Irish men themselves, they should do more to give back or do not work the system.

Back on topic, what really annoys me lately is people who whip out their smartphones at the first sight of anything mildly amusing, throwing it up on Facebook/Twitter to show everyone as a quick laugh, with no regard whatsoever for that person's right to privacy. All those Pages on Facebook now, Embarrassing Snapchat Photos, Nightclub Photos, and the likes. Tagging a load of people in the photos so the whole world can see. Really annoys me to see, and the height of disrespect. Really one of the worst aspect of Social Media.

People (women in 99% of cases) who work in an equal opportunities employer, the ones who are the battle axes who demand more money with every open of the door

Yet when theres something to to be lifted or something to be done on PC that requires a bit of brain its all left to the young lad who can lift more and type and think faster. Should be ashamed of this!

Also the people on the dole who cheat the system, but thats not enough, they flaunt it by going on the beer 9 nights a week! And laugh when its pointed out that us working folk are paying for their pints and fags!

And finally, People who smoke in football grounds, that absolutely wrecks my teyteys!!! Yeah fair enough we would all love to sit back and puff away but jesus christ in a 2000 person capacity stand which is full you are literally effecting the guts of 30 people alone if not more! 45 minute halves is not that long! Should be ashamed that they have abolsutely no control over their habit, and thats coming from a smoker

and while im at it, People who brake nearly to a stop at roundabouts when there's clearly nothing coming, and wont be coming for the next 30 mins until fair s*itty is over!! Spent more time roaring at them from the confines of my car with the windows firmly up so I can uphold my image of a totally calm driver, should be ashamed of such bad driving

    and finally...

People who wear gleaming white socks with black slacks and black shoes.... be ashamed, be very ashamed, I shudder for these people, this happened me once where I was after cycling into work, forgot to pack my black socks, i didnt even get up from my desk that day to go to lunch or toilet incase the situation would be misinterpreted and my work mates think that I was one of those people

Anyone who vandalises property - be it public or private. Every time I see a bus stop smashed up, I want to round up the local skanger brigade, put them up against a wall, and start shooting randoms until one rats the other out.:D

I also enjoy subtle niceties. If I hold a door open for you, I don't necessarily want a 'Thank You'. A subtle nod, eyebrow raise or smile to acknowledge I was your unpaid doorman for 3 seconds of my life would do.

People (usually of a certain age) who don't know how to use self-service checkouts in supermarkets, but insist on giving it a go anyway. And when it all goes wrong (because they've dawdled for too long, left their handbag in the bagging area, failed to scan an item, scanned the same item twice, started packing their bags before inserting the cash, etc), they inevitably blame the "stupid machine" for their own fucking idiocy. And then they just stand there, helplessly flapping their hands around until somebody comes to their assistance.

Do they thank the staff member who helps them? No, they don't. Do they apologise to the queue behind them? Of course not. Are they even vaguely embarrassed to be such a nuisance? Not a chance.

Something like saying there is no Santa to a 6yo. Why, dear God, why would a person do that?
Littering pi55es me off no end too. A shop near me sells rolls and sandwiches aimed at the local school kids, well the kids (teen boys) walk out, wrapper comes off and does it go in the bin? Not a chance, they throw it to the wind.

There is a McDonald's just down the road and same thing. I go around my garden picking up burger boxers, wrappers, cups, straws and lids of drink containers. One of these days I'll lose the plot, collect it all in a carrier bag and dump it on their counter.
I'm ashamed of myself as I type this, don't judge me :o

I was walking to the luas today, there's a little river along the path where I walk and I have to cross a bridge. There were about 5 teenage boys from the nearby school smoking and hanging out on the bridge. One of them threw an empty bottle of coke and crisp packet into the river. I looked into the river and there were another 3/4 things in there, obviously just put there. Theres a little waterfall thing there and a fast stream. Its a nice area, and normally quite clean.

I lost the f*cking plot. He was about 17, I'm not some 60 year old woman who shouts at kids all the time. I never ever get angry, but I could feel my blood boil. I just stood in disbelief for a minute, and then he threw his smoke in and asked me 'what the fook are you looking at?'

Bam, Emma goes ape sh*t. I called him a scumbag, a knacker, a little sh*t, I threatened to throw him into the river to get them. Then started slagging him about thinking he was badass having a few smokes on his lunch break. Jesus, as soon as I finished my rant I just felt like a horrible person.

There's my confession. I cursed at a bunch of kids today, over some empty tayto packets. So me, I should be ashamed of myself.
