I think it's ironic that nemo32 has responded to you. In Finding Nemo he was the one little egg left who survived. :D

I should really call my one little survivor nemo instead of jelly baby which my OH has named him :D

Fingers crossed it's a good little omen :D

Nemo that is great news, congrats to you :-) I know it’s silly saying because I’ve never been in your position but do try and relax a little bit!! It really is fantastic to hear some good news, gives the rest of us some hope.

Glad you appointment went well StickyBean, least things are moving along for you.

I know exactly how you feel lashes, it’s so annoying, myself & my boyfriend are together 10 years, we’ve just bought a house & we’re CONSTANTLY being asked when we’re going to get pregnant & married… people really don’t think, they take it all for granted.

Barbiegirl, what an expression ‘juicy’ !!! Best of luck on your 2 week wait, sending good vibes your way xxx
    Aw Dreamstar that’s too cute!

Well, TMI but I'm on knicker watch & it's driving me silly. I've had 5 months of 25 day cycles, one with 26 and now I'm on day 28 & no AF, I don't know what's going on, I don't know if I'm late or if my Endo/cysts are back & is playing havoc with my cycle... thought I seen a little pink yesterday when wiping but it seems to have dissappeared again... WAY to afraid to test... it's definitely early days though... if it hasn't come by Friday I'll test Saturday morning maybe. What would the chances of my actually getting pregnant all by myself (as in no meds) after 6 whole years of trying. I'm in a world of nerves & fear at the moment...

Hollywood, you must be driven demented, waiting is the hardest bit. I don't know how i would hold out until Saturday to test!! Fingers crossed for you xx

Delighted to hear the transfer went well barbie, best of luck with the torture that is the 2 week wait!

Good luck Hollywood! PG this is your little miracle x

Thanks Tommee Tippee & StickyBean... I am totally driven demented, I'm not 100% but I think AF is coming, spotting again now & it's a little redder now, just have to carry on waiting I suppose 😢 just wish it would either come now or not rather than this spotting craic

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,846 ✭✭✭barbiegirl

Hollywood we all know the ups and downs are very difficult. :( Waiting I think has become my defacto mode.

    Big hugs

In the same boat!!! Due any day now, the joys or irregular cycles. We are now at CD 40... but I have the AF symptoms since last night. Isn't it cruel how the symptoms for pregnancy are the same as periods????

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Hollywood130

Well the longer the day goes on the more of a bleed I am getting, I am in no doube AF will be here in full mode in the morning :-(

Yikes Stickybean, day 40, I was going bananas after getting to day 28 from 25, my torture is over... feeling very sorry for myself right now & really just want to hit the couch, my cousin is home for a few days with her brand new baby & I gotts go see them this eve, such a time to have to do it, not in a great frame of mind... So cruel but for me it is definitely AF, keeping everything crossed it's for a good reason for you.

I'll be making my way to my first IVF appointment in May, this day 3 weeks, time to get my act together for this!! I'll probably be better tomorrow I'll have gotten over this... nothing comes easy does it!

Ah I am sick of it Hollywood. My cycle can run from 16-53 days. So most months I am "late" but not sure if its is actually late. When I go to day 32 I consider myself late, but even with that, i've had so much disappointment.

Sorry AF is coming. Fingers crossed for your IVF tho!!! looks like we might be buddies. I am going in the end of May.

Try to enjoy tonight, I know it will be hard, but some day very soon we will be the ones holding our little bundles of joy xxxx

Thanks StickyBean, slightly getting over it already! Aw great, be nice to have a buddy in this x will post regularly once I start... Hoping it works out for us all... Xxx

Gosh stickbean that's tough. :( My cycles are usually 29 - 32 days but one cycle over Christmas I went to 51 days! I still don't know what happened - the doctor said it was nothing to worry about if it's just a one off long one. But I went through loads of pregnancy tests and ended up praying for AF to come so I could just start again!
So I understand completely how the long cycles are tough.

Sticky I'm sure you've tried evyerything but just in case.... have you tried Agnus castus to regulate your cycle? My cycles were like yours and it definitely brought them down under 35 days.

  • Registered Users Posts: 686 ✭✭✭Hollywood130

The waiting is the worst, I'd prefer to have a short cycle than a long one, least you can judge it better, it's awful stickbean... roll on May for us! xx

Thanks yellow Hen xxx, I tried in the past, as my cycles can be long or short it was hard to work out if it really worked on me. We're starting IVF next month so hesitant to try anything until after that...

But if you know any tips for bringing the dreaded aunt flow on, that would be very welcome.

I'd love a shorter cycle, once its goes beyond 30-32 days you start to build up hope. I'd say its well on the way though.. my boobs are huge and sore and I got the classic spots on my chin, on and I am a total moody cow :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,582 ✭✭✭stickybean

Well I am out! Not to disappointed this month though.

If we aren't lucky next month (which after over 3 and a half years I'm not holding out too much hope) we start our first IVF cycle from the next period!

Really bad one this time, my stomach, back and sides are killing me. Going to grab a cuppa, an Easter egg and a hot water bottle. The one good thing about periods is you can eat as much chocolate as you like and no one dares say anything to you :D

Hi Ladies, I'm new to this thread. Best wishes to all those undergoing IVF at the moment!

I was wondering if anyone here has experience with Napro. I came across them online. We've never really had too much of an issue conceiving (usually took 2-4 months) but I've never managed to hold onto a pregnancy :-( Currently getting over my latest miscarriage at seven weeks and I think it's time to get stuff checked out. I can't see IVF ever being an option for us for personal reasons so wondered whether it would be a good idea to get an appointment with Napro and see how it goes or should I go to a regular fertility clinic and just go to Napro if/when they feel the next step is IVF? Any advice or experience greatly appreciated!

Hi Aine I spend 18 months with Napro and they did a lot for me, they discovered that the reason we were miscarrying was Stage 4 endo, a cyst and an septum. These were all removed. However that wasn't for me the entire story. What they didn't do was check Chicago bloods, for raised cytokynes (auto-immune) or identify a clotting factor. I found them great but not thorough enough for me. Had I gone straight to Sims I would be 18 months further along, as they would have identified the same issues plus the one they eventually did. For me looking back, I would have gone straight to Sims (full fertility clinic) now.

Sorry things didn't work this time round Stickybean

Thanks very much Barbiegirl, much appreciated! Still at the information-gathering stage so will decide what to do in the next while.

We're in the same boat then StickyBean, We have our 'IVF Info Talk' on May 12th so we'll be starting from there. I have a few Easter eggs hanging around too & had one when AF arrived on Tuesday... Great minds !!! Sorry to hear its a bad one for you though :-( not ling back from a run (trying to loose a few pounds before starting IVF) BUT would love an Easter Egg !!

Barbiegirl, I'm wondering about auto-immune?? Not sure if I've been tested for this.. Would U have been with the fertility clinic or is this something you need to request??

Aine, sorry can't offer you any help on Napro, I think I researched it before but wasn't an option for us because we're not married... I can tell you that I am 6 years into this journey, never been pregnant & wish I had to go to a fertility clinic sooner, much wiser now I'm the other side...

  • Registered Users Posts: 9 aine_ni_l

Thanks Hollywood, yeah I think it's tough deciding to get things looked at but once you do so you probably wish you'd started sooner! I kept telling myself we'd go for help after the next miscarriage, and then the next one... I've been in denial really I suppose but trying to be proactive now.

We have our talk on the first week in May!!! Looks like we have a good few starting in May and June, great to have the support on here. Our fertility specialist recommended I loose a few more pounds before we start, I've dropped just 20lbs since Jan 1st, so hoping to get another couple off before we start. I would love to get my 2 stone award (I am with slimming world)

Well at least your getting things looked after now, poor you don’t know how you went through all you went through, so so tough x

That’s great StickyBean & it’s so much better that you’re getting the lbs off slowly, my sister-in-law is with slimming world too & got her 2st award last week, she looks fantastic, it really works, fair play to you & good luck with the next few weeks. I’m a little over my happy weight and so I am too trying to loose a few pounds, OH has a few to loose too so we need to get back on track with the healthy bandwagon! I’m just trying to get as much fruit & veg into me as possible over the next 2 weeks. Cranked up the exercise too, least we’ll feel a bit better in ourselves from being a little thinner xx What date is your talk? You can fill me in on what to expect if you’re before me…

One week into my TWW having had a transfer of two 9-cell 3 day embryos last Saturday. I think a bit of a wait is actually good to allow your head to clear after the rollercoaster of sprays, injections, scans etc. Next week is gonna feel very long though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,846 ✭✭✭barbiegirl

Me too Timitami relaxing this weekend. Had my second intralipid yesterday and then acupuncture. Trying to decide when to test, my trigger should be gone from Tuesday, the clinic said next Sunday. I'm thinking Saturday. Doing lots of envisioning a tiny little sail boat, dropping anchor into a safe, pretty harbour. Breathing in positivity breathing out negativity :D fingers crossed next week we're both in great form.

Hi Hollywood sorry I thought I'd answered this. Sims run autoimmune tests standardly particularly Chicago bloods. Others don't all offer autoimmune screening. I know Galway don't
