Thanks guys! It's not until the end of the month and I'll be seeing my GP next week so I might bring it up again when I see her.

So I'm still waiting for a low FSH. My last period it was too high. I've numerous friends due babies in the next few weeks before Christmas. The first was last week. All of these friends had babies around the same time as me so it's their second baby. So the questioning has really become more frequent. I'm delighted for my friends but also painfully envious of them. I try not to get upset about it and my husband hates seeing me get upset. I know I'm very lucky to have a daughter. I'm going away tonight with a group of different friends. I was drinking non alcoholic beer the last time I saw them as I was on the stimulating injections so I know they'll be expecting a bump bigger than my normal belly!!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Promised myself I would never be back here after failed IVF attempt number 3 last June. Each attempt initially gave a positive pee on stick test then nothing.

However Mrs LCD wasn't able to stop while we still had 3 embryos left & I couldn't not try again for her sake. So in yesterday for final final attempt. We are going to implant 2 & discard the 3rd. Going to go for a natural cycle, let the lining of the womb build in natural cycle as opposed to drugs. Probably looking at insertion around the end of January. Her cycle has inexplicably changed for appx. 35 days down to 30 days. Also talked about taking some steroids to prevent natural killer cells, wasn't 100% clear on what this was.

Hate the whole thing, but feel we are actually trying something a little different this time.

My AMH levels came back at 16.10 pmol/L. I am 27.
Does anyone know what the normal range is? Thanks

My GP told me they like to see it above 10 pmol/l so that looks good to me!

Has anyone here experienced implantation bleeding and if so could it have been confused with a light period? I'm on metformin and had some very light bleeding starting on Sunday, which was day 45 of my cycle. I assumed this was my period starting however it was very light on Sunday, slightly more but still light on Monday and then there's barely anything today.

No idea if/when I ovulated and didn't notice any ewcm or anything like that so not sure what to make of this.

I had it. It Came on the day my period was due but only lasted a couple of hours. For me the blood was very very pink.

I had it on both kids and it was pink coloured cervical mucus. Got it both at implantation and again on day my period was due

Thanks guys, I had bleeding when I was pregnant with my son, but it arrived a week after my period was due and was kinda brownish and lasted about a week. This time it was pinky red. It's completely stopped now. I haven't been tracking anything cos I thought we'd give it a break over Christmas, so really don't know where I am. If it was a period it only lasted 3 days, and was so light that I didn't even need a pad.

I had it with my twin pregnancy, when I was about 5 weeks pregnant. Bled on an off for about 5 days, and like you said so light that I didn't need a pad. When they scanned me they said that I had implantation bleeding but that it has gotten trapped in a sort of blood blister in my uterus and that didn't burst for a while after implantation.

    Good luck!

Thanks guys! Took a test this morning and it was negative so I suppose it's just a waiting game now.

Just to give you the other side of the coin, I get a lot of spotting at random points in my cycle due to my wacky hormones from my PCOS. Maybe it's something similar (hopefully not).

I had a HSG on day8 of my cycle. Results came back fine. Had a pelvic ultrasound the same day, all fine, but my day21 bloods were low. Im on day17 now and the past 3 days ive had clear, slippery cm.
Yesterday I had very sharp pains in my abdomen. Today however for the first time I had pink slight red spotting. I have read it could be a sign of ovulation. This has never happened this early in cycle. My fertile week isnt due for another 4 days.
My partner is due for semen analysis tomorrow but we may hold off if I have ovulated.
    Has anyone had similar experience?

Never heard of pink spotting being a sign of ovulation I have to say.

Clear slippery CM is a sign of upcoming ovulation though as you know.
I would let him go for the SA, get it over with. Ye can do the deed when he comes back

And hopefully not stating the obvious but are you sure the 'day 21' tests were done on the right day? They should be done roughly half way through your luteal phase. You will know your luteal phase from building up information using opks and tracking everything in your phone app

On metformin 1000mg per day since august for PCOS every period has been between 28-30 days since. Now on day 32 of this cycle feeling kind of crampy but more like a stitch in my right side the last couple of days than my usual cramps the day of my period. Trying not to even let my mind express any tiny bit of hope since its extremely unlikely ;-(. How is everyone else getting on

Oooh fingers crossed it's a good result!!

Not sure after my 3 day "period?" what the story is. If it was a period I'm on day 18, if it wasn't I'm on day 63. Who knows?? Feeling a bit down about it all, but not sure if it's just the time of year that's contributing to that. I'm constantly exhausted, and have sore boobs and am peeing a lot but not really reading much into that. I don't want to convince myself something is happening only to be disappointed. Going to wait until next weekend which would bring me up to about day 28 and will take a test then.

Thanks Toots! Same to you i hope you get a positive result! Its so hard to keep hope sometimes i totally hear you! Waiting til day 28 sounds like a good plan! I have a friend who is pregnant after trying for 2 months before a BFP in month 3 and can't seem to see that it isn't all that easy for everyone. But its important to stay positive! Lets hope 2017 is all of our year!

Think I have very faint brown spotting when I wipe. Day 33 of my cycle. I'd say it was just delayed with the stress of christmas!

LCD sending you both the very best of luck.

I had IUI 8 days ago. I'm literally on edge today and dreading the remaining six days.
For anyone with a low AMH like me Sims clinic tryed something new on this cycle. My FSH was at the correct level. I started on two new injections. One was a once off called Elonva and the other was nightly genotropin. I also took Gonal F and Menupour at night and Cetroide in the morning. I found all the injections hard. With previous cycles for the last 12 months my problem has been my folicils didn't grow. Thankfully this time one grew. Sometimes I wonder will I ever have more that one and will we ever have a chance at IVF? Lots of questions from friends and family over Christmas about babies. It can be so hard as we all know.

Had my laparoscopy today to find my mysterious left ovary. It seems I don't have one. The good news is I won't have to spend ages being scanned now while the doctors and nurses try to find it. My right ovary is super active anyway hopefully one ovary is enough. They didn't find anything else troubling either.

Next steps are 2 cycles of ovulation induction with FSH instead of clomid, then 2 of IUI and then onto IVF. I'm happy to have a plan for the next few months.

Mrs LCD has been in twice this week to examine the size of her follicles. This is FET attempt number 4. Once they hit a certain size she takes something & then do the transfer a few days later, I think.
This is the first time ever she has gone to the clinic without me. Is literally in & out for a scan, gets very early appointment to make it in to work on time. Makes sense for me not to go, however I still feel a bit bad about it.

ah don't feel bad.my husband only came with me for the important ones.it made more sense than him trekking the whole way across the city for literally a quick scan.

I'm a patient of Sims for a year and my husband has only come a few times when he has to be there. It's a very long distance for us and unfortunately it wasn't practical. Don't feel so bad. Hope you both are doing ok.

Cheers guys. Rough week this week as we have been fostering a little dog since Jan 3rd. As many here probably know the childless couples tend to take loving their dogs up to 11 (Spinal Tap fans?). We already had a dog & decided to help the local dog rescue.

Well she was a pain in the a$$ but you can't help falling in love with them. Now she is going, will miss her so much. Keeping her is just not practical. At least we got her out of the kennel & she is now off to a forever home as they say.

Has anyone tried acupuncture? I decided I'd give it a go and had my first session and didn't enjoy it at all. Painful in parts and that was before he told me he recommended I come twice a week (60 Euro) plus take these herbs which of course cost extra.

I kinda felt like I was being taken advantage of. Don't think I'll be going back.

  • Registered Users Posts: 82 ✭✭Fingersandtoes

I've been numerous times. I kept it going for four months. It was an acupuncture that specialised in fertility. It was €90 per hour every week. €360 on acupuncture and €144 on medication per month before any expenses in Sims or the expense of getting there meant it wasn't an option to keep going financially😕. I've used it during my TSI and both IUI attempts. I didn't find it painful.

Are the acupuncture needles like the ones for ovitrelle etc or thicker? I think unless they are microscopic, I'd not be able for them!
