Failed Masters - Has anyone had any luck with appeals?

Hi, I just heard today after an Oral Examination from an external examiner that I have failed my thesis. I just wanted to know if anyone's been through the Masters appeals process? Have you had any luck? If not what did you hear back? Thanks a million
