Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

unpaid fines in france?!

i lived in france for about 9 months in 2009 and i managed to get a speeding fine and a parking fine.
Certain circumstances had me coming back to ireland and left france without paying any of these fines and also breaking an eircom equivalent contract. I posted all the stuff back to the phone company but never sorted out the fines or the break out contract. I would imagine summons would have been post to my old address in france but i seen nothing!

I need to fly back to france this coming february and i'm not exactly comfortable about it.
will i be arrested on the spot or issued fines to be paid on the spot?
Any idea how these things work with immigration and french airports?

Aside from the fact that there is a rule against legal advice in the charter, no one here could be expected to know anything about how the French justice system operates.

It would be sensible to get in touch with the French embassy to try and sort out the fines before you travel.
