Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is the most study I've ever done for an exam, yet I feel the least prepared. Will be glad when it's all over.

    Best of luck everyone :)

Really simple question but my head is fried at this point!

Do we assume that the current date is now, September 2014, if it doesn't explicitly state the date?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

State that assumption before you start your answer and you're safe

Is it ok to use transfer deadline day as an example of poor strategic planning?

I have full suitcase - but people bring in all sorts - like storage boxes - bring as much as you want for backup, but 2/3 lever files with main points of reference

Can i ask - in Caverns case they discuss entrepren relief re:tax?

Is this under CAT? or if entrap relief examinable - sorry if i scare anyone, i think the case is outdated

    Thanks in advance

Think its Retirement Relief in ROI ( ie. relief on CGT) and Entrepreneur Relief in NI.

Yep just an NI reference! The tax solutions can be very confusing, don't know how many times I've given myself heart failure only to realise the double dutch I'm looking at is an NI solution instead of an ROI solution

Always better to be safe than sorry! I for one will be bringing in loads, just for security! I won't be doing any post mortoms at all, I can't stand it, only makes you feel awful! So on that note I will sign off probably until nearer results day! Best of luck everyone, thank you for the support over the past 2 months! We all deserve to pass this, we can do it!

Was thinking digital marketing - good artice in the June 2014 Accountancy Ireland - would recommend bringing it in as looks almost like a sample answer for strategy!

Anyone else relying on devine intervention at this stage and hope that they're not that mean to us? Besides, transfer deadline day...with the rumours..........and the signings.........and the drama........and the managers talking out of car windows, how can the average man concentrate on a day like this.

Was a bit panicky over the weekend but I think I've made peace with myself and for some reason cautiously optimistic about tomorrow.

    Finance - $ payment
Audit - disclosures and financing stuff
Tax - sell assets (or shares?)
    IMP - website/online presence
    PM - Transfer prices
    BL - Corp Gov
FR - were you supposed to do something with the subsidiary disposal? Couldnt see where to fit it in and ran out of time so just did a wee appendix at the back with a goodwill calc and a couple of other things

    What am I missing?

Is that not PM assessment of divisional performance? Nah?

I didn't get time to finish the trf price question, or the IMP one.

For the tax one did yous say to sell shares instead, set up a new company and get sse?

Any recommendations for indicator subjects tomorrow based on that?
