Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Huge game tonight for the reds. We need at least a point or we are doomed to at least the relegation play off.

Expect an awful, awful game. And probably a Cork win.

Was supposed to be going to this with two, maybe three others, until it was changed. Would be happy with a draw but a win would be massive.

I think we at Bohs are probably safe at this point. As a result, I can start hoping that Shels finish above UCD.

Don't suppose we could borrow your players so?

David Scully is on the way as we speak

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Hows Doyle done for ye? He was a very useful player for us in 2011.

Is it one automatically down and then a playoff between 2nd last and 2nd in Div 1 or is there a play off in div 1 between 2nd and 3rd?

There's a play off in the First Division also.

So 12th in Premier is down, 1st in First is up. 11th in Premier then plays the winner of 2nd versus 3rd in the First.

Shels looking poor enough so far.

I actually forgot there was a First Division playoff

How many more would be at this if it was Saturday?

Had forgotten about this commentator on Setanta. Sensationalises the most trivial things. Would be a perfect fit for the Over 70s football in Father Ted.

    Awful goal to give away
Made the exact same mistake myself last night :(

    Nice finish, very cool

That's shocking really. Important goal for Shels, could be huge.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 12,535 Mod ✭✭✭✭Amirani

Pitch seems pretty crap, has it been this bad in Cork all season?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,578 ✭✭✭✭CSF

I would say we're deservedly in front.

That's horrendous defending. Really really bad. You must be pulling your hair out CSF.

That's a very good finish from Kilduff. Poor defending again though tbh.

I still can't figure why Rovers allowed Kilduff to go on loan. Also strange that he went to Cork - is he working near there, or something.
It would have been vastly different if Shels had taken him on loan. He's been as good as ever since his move to Cork.

We offloaded our striker to cut the wagebill, no way we were going to be adding to it by paying another's wages.

Shocking collapse from the lads. Some of them should be really ashamed. Murtagh has been awful.

You did it before with Hawkins, Ryan and Crowe and where did it get you?

    First division??....

    OK!

Just depressing. What kind of defending was that - from the start Caaark were probing in between the CBs; they knew that we were crap there and so it proved.

Yeah Murtagh is awful - he nearly scored though ;(

Really weird not being there by the way - thanks FAI - great way to get more bums on seats - change the fixture a fortnight in advance.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,597 ✭✭✭dan1895

Awful defending by shels, as always. Not out of it yet though and we've been creating chances. Kelly and Hanlon are our key players for the second half.
    Decent game in fairness.

What's the story with Daryl Horgan. Is his contract expiring at the end of the season or do Cork have that wrapped up?

Would love to see him return west.

Finished that well. Looks over for Shels.

Symptomatic of the Matthews reign. Another goal his fault. What a horrible centre back.
