This is worse than trap! What purpose is it to try and defend like this. It never works when teams try to do it against far superior teams. 4-2-4 is what you want. Keep them occupied in their own half.

We haven't done as badly as folks are making out. We've kept the Germans out mostly and still have a sniff of getting an equalizer. All you can really expect considering the opposition.
