Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Stokes was right to shoot...he would have had to pin the ball to mccarthy first time between 2 germans. if he took a touch, would have given them time to get back and defend.

    I dont watch millwall but forde has been excellent for us in all of our games so far, seems to be a very solid keeper.

    All the talk there was about McCarthy and he's just very average.
    Can't recall him having a great game for Ireland since he arrived on the scene.

    We're playing Germany, who have one of the best teams in the world right now with a huge amount of depth. Seriously, what else do you expect from a patchwork team of lower EPL and Championship players?
    Despite the defending they are certainly doing better than before, some good passing play and even Whelan managed a great ball to Stokes.

    I think that first 10 minutes of the second half just annoyed Germany. I just counted ten men behind the ball and we still cant get close to it.

    No hunger no fight no clue as to what they are doing. I know germany are top class but the Irish team are just watching them pass it around them it's a fact previous Irish teams would of at least let the opposite team know they are actually playing a game.

    We've been okay. Deflected first goal and poor defending on the second. A couple of good chances, especially for Stokes, but Germany are a different class and it shows.

    Doyle has done reasonably well so maybe he should stay on but we've had nothing on the right. Stokes had been ok second half but I think is throw Long on. Wilson hasn't been great so maybe throw McCarthy back further and bring Hoolahan or Reid in.

    Not much point after 78 minutes though.
