The southbound road going in the direction of Limerick still has access. If you don't fancy going through Cratloe and Sixmilebridge it would nearly be worth your while to take the first exit for Shannon and cross over to the other side of the road via the interchange and come into Bunratty near the Roadstone factory.

Roadworks ongoing until Dec. so the junction will probably be closed till then. There's a thread about it here
