Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OK there's slightly long story behind this that isn't for boards ,
A family member received a text message this evening from there estranged parent saying that on Monday morning they were going to court to get an access order for the grand children and other family members will be dragged to court too to force access by this angry grandparent ,
I'm well aware I can't ask for legal advice been here been everywhere is closed till Monday ,
Opinion wise can a grand parent force there child to grant access to there grandchildren through the courts ,

Have a read of this Gatling. Not sure if this is good or bad news for your situation.
    http://www.treoir.ie/target-grandparents.php

    Legal rights for grandparents:
    Access for grandparents

Where a grandparent is not getting access to her/his grandchild s/he may apply to the local District Court for access to the child. There are two parts to this process:

The first application is applying for leave to apply for access which is asking for the court's permission to apply for access. The court, in arriving at a decision at this stage, must always have regard to:

the applicant's connection with the child
the risk, if any, of the application disrupting the child's life to the extent that the child would be harmed by the access, and
the wishes of the child's guardian(s).

If the first stage is successful then the person can apply for access.
