Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Trouble with Update 1.03 on PS3

    Hi folks, I have been trying to update GTA a couple of times now and I'm having some trouble with it.

    I start up the game and everything is grand with the game it's working and whatnot, but then it prompts me to start the update, I press X to continue to the update and then the thing freezes on me. Just a blank screen like the fade screen just before the update bar shows up on your PS3.

    The PS3 does not respond to me hitting the PS button, nor the power button and it just stays like that, although I am able to take the disk out. I've had this particular PS3 for just about 2 years now and it has never given me trouble like this, just appeared to be a perfectly healthy machine. It is a PS3 Slim, 160GB version (although there is a 664GB HDD in it now).

    I haven't had the opportunity to play online yet due to college and this is frustrating me, has anyone else had these problems when trying to download update 1.03 on the PS3?

    reinstall the game ?

    remove it from HD and start it all again.

    Jesus, hope it wasn't going to be as drastic as that... I Google'd "GTA V update problem" and it threw up nothing, then I decided to search for "PS3 freezes on game update" and low and behold what was the first thing that was mentioned on Yahoo! Answers; yep, a GTA V related problem.

    Some dudes are suggesting to wait 45+ seconds before pressing into the update, I'm just about to try that now, I'll let you all know how I get on.
