Ran a great race considering it didn't settle at all.

Yeah, backed him on his debut and been following him since. He owes me nothing.

Gutsy but no Guineas winner IMO.

Needs fast ground the American bred do

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,879 ✭✭✭Panrich

Think he'll be much better on fast ground. It would worry me if I had an ante-post for the Guineas as that is rarely genuinely fast ground

Going to give Secret Witness one last chance in the next at York

Thought he'd struggle on the ground. Serious horse next year on fast ground if he trains on.

You learn more from Joseph than Aidan in those post race interviews..

Lol at trying to pick the winner in the Cesareswitch.

2nd year in a row a 66/1 shot has won it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,981 ✭✭✭✭mailburner

Was on Oriental Fox each-way and am a bit dis-appointed that Murtagh didn't ride out to the line. Rode the horse till 5th inside the final furlong and then eased down and beaten into 6th. Bookies paying the 1st 5 so I'm a bit gutted.

It's easy to say now but was keen to take that fav on just didn't know with who so left it. Not sure that was the strongest form the last day

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 18,335 ✭✭✭✭UrbanSea

Really hope Kellingrove can do the business at York think he looks most progressive but with a field this size there's bound to be one that pops up we'll see

    Looks very solid alright.

Valid reason would be dangerous if back to form.
A stone lower than when 3rd in this last year.

i'd love to be a bookie today

    form means nothing today

I am absolutely sick...Be Perfect is one I've been following and was going to back him until I looked him up last night and he had a DI of about 1.6 didn't think he'd remotely stay the trip absolutely raging

King Shabra finally gone some way to confirming the promise of his bumper win from Some Officer.

Won maiden hdl by 22 lengths today after a couple of disappointing runs over the last few weeks. (obviously needed them in hindsight)

up to short squeeze to save the day again

    plenty short enough now

Rita Shah was interviewed on the radio a few weeks ago and said he'd win when he got his ground, Oliver Brady was on ATR this morning and said lump on. Up Monaghan :p

If anyone likes money and enjoys winning some then do yourself and favour and have a punt on Court By Surprise e/w at Chepstow in the 17:45. Hoping it will win, but won't be out of the place money with a clear round.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 352 ✭✭Go Native

Price gone now. 5/1 into 3/1. Hope everyone got on as won't be out of the places.

I hope all your disciples backed him on BF - 4 places, even with the 2 withdrawals. Was 4/5 just before the off to place 1-4. He also needed that fall from the fav! Still, a winner's a winner - I won't do any aftertiming (too dodgy with SRFC about) but just say: cheers mate! Got very tired at the end there - thank God it wasn't 3 miles and half a furlong!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 352 ✭✭Go Native

Ah he ran a great race. I was hoping he'd win, but that's racing, never over till it's over. Got the place money anyway as I was fairly certain he would. Doubt the handicapper will give him a break from that now though. He'll be reassessed as if he won today...

Court By Surprise - 5.45 Chepstow.

Emma Lavelle and Aidan Coleman teaming up on this one. Already being backed and I tend to follow Emma's horse early in the season as she usually has them going well. If you see one of her horses around the top of the market for the rest of this month then it may be worth backing.

Just ran out of gas :(

Just ran out of gas :(

Ran his heart out, but still got the e/w money for a small profit, so can't complain. Never complain when they run as game as that.

Now to find a winner at Wolverhampton.........

All terribly boring but Shryon is just about as good an even money shot as you'll get.

Tidy jockey and has to be bang there at the finish. Probably good enough to win this a shade cosy off 64 (-7).

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 352 ✭✭Go Native

Time to lay the fav, Look Here's Al. Nowhere near solid enough to warrant his price. Good lay here at 3.0

jesus talk about a well handicapped horse
how far was that behind after a couple of furlongs and
    wins as it liked

Ha yeah , thought he would win cosy, but that was ridiculous. Fair play to the jockey, all too easy to panic.

Lawyer at 20:20 is probably equally ahead of his mark in terms of the competition here. He's been risen 9 pounds for a neck win last time out. Tells you all you need to know about how well handicapped he is.

Will win this and most likely win next time out again if in similar company....

Seen that win last time and think you are spot on
bit short for me but I can't see past it

wouldve been a nice double with shyron but I was too
disgusted to continue gambling given the day I had

Forget the past and move forward mate. A winner is a winner and this horse is an improver in a very poor race. He really really should win. Back him, sit back and order yourself an Indian with your winnings :)

have to get the losses back which would mean a biggish bet for me to
start with on a very short priced one which my heart can't take (or my pocket)

I'll go with that doubled with anna shab in the last 9/10+13/8 to
    retrieve my losses
That looks pretty good to me (it'll have to do:o
