Eh, but that would mean living in a town or city i.e. near fordeners, and what's worse, poor people. The Irish dream is to build a massive ugly house on a half acre in the middle of nowhere, and then spend the rest of your life complaining that everything is too far away.

For people who have been on the dole for 18 months, he's organising a new scheme for setting up your own business where you will be tax exempt for two years... AND says he will be tackling the black market who take work away from those who carry out their work by the book.... Contradictory much?

Encouraging people in legitimate tax-paying businesses, both new and existing. Sounds like a win-win to me....

That's my point, Sept.. Those people who were on the dole and undercutting private businesses used to be worried about somebody finding out they were doing undeclared work and having their benefits cut... Now they can undercut private businesses legitimately and not have to worry about getting caught.

A genius move by the government. The elderly dont do social media or d'internet. The only way they have to co-ordinate 20,000 OAPs to picket the Dail is with the phone and Joe Duffy. Take the phone away from them and you know what you get in the next budget? Means testing for the medical cards for the OAPs and no protests.
