    Fear not, I think Joe will put on a Funny Friday soon to cheer us all up after the Budget. That should drive you away!

    Oh jesus :eek::eek:

    This bat would be the very first - the VERY first - to be on complaining if she got knocked down in a heave if that IRV crowd got their way. FFS!

    Joe gets the Larkin statue reference in. I'm surprised he didn't ask her did she have a recording of his voice.

    Its amazing how much the media seem to know about what cuts & hikes are coming in the budget. Why didn't noonan just issue a big press release so we don't have to listen to him & let joe give us the bad news

    A few cops standing around smoking cigarettes does not an excessive response create. :rolleyes:

    Either he lives a champagne lifestyle which he can well afford or he lives a salt of de earth, humble lifestyle, which he means he must be sitting on an unreal fortune.

    I think it's hilarious that bank shareholders paint themselves as 'victims' of the crash, while bank employees are the villains. Banks are private limited companies, the shareholders literally are the bank and the bank is run for their benefit

    Eh, but that would mean living in a town or city i.e. near fordeners, and what's worse, poor people. The Irish dream is to build a massive ugly house on a half acre in the middle of nowhere, and then spend the rest of your life complaining that everything is too far away.

    For people who have been on the dole for 18 months, he's organising a new scheme for setting up your own business where you will be tax exempt for two years... AND says he will be tackling the black market who take work away from those who carry out their work by the book.... Contradictory much?

    Pardon my being dense, but how is that contradictory :confused:

    Encouraging people in legitimate tax-paying businesses, both new and existing. Sounds like a win-win to me....

    People who are on the dole and doing nixers basically get a two year amnesty..

    How is that stunt fair to existing businesses who pay tax?????

    That's my point, Sept.. Those people who were on the dole and undercutting private businesses used to be worried about somebody finding out they were doing undeclared work and having their benefits cut... Now they can undercut private businesses legitimately and not have to worry about getting caught.

    A genius move by the government. The elderly dont do social media or d'internet. The only way they have to co-ordinate 20,000 OAPs to picket the Dail is with the phone and Joe Duffy. Take the phone away from them and you know what you get in the next budget? Means testing for the medical cards for the OAPs and no protests.
