A mate of mine coming from work was in a taxi that passed the crime scene last night in Cabra at about 3.30am.

The taxi driver and himself both saw what looked sure to be a body under black canvas in the middle of the road. The news is saying nobody was killed and the guy that was shot is in a critical condition in the Mater hospital but my mate swears it was a body..

Anybody have any other info? Is it possible the gardai dont want it known that there was a fatality?

What else at a crime scene could look like a body under black canvas?

If there was a fatality it would have been reported.

What would resemble a dead body in the middle of the road under black plastic that is not a dead body? Honest question!

Yes a very good friends word who was stone cold sober coming home from work and was stuck at the traffic lights in a taxi looking at the scene for 2 minutes.. Just trying to figure out what would be under black plastic that resembles a body but is not a body..

I don't reckon anything I just know a good friend saw what looked like a body under black plastic in the middle of the road being watched over by Gardai and that the news didn't mention anything about a fatality.

So if there was no fatality what would resemble a body under black plastic in the middle of the road at a crime scene?

I don't see why so many doubters. This is a very corrupt state, could be multiple reasons why they wouldn't want to disclose a death straight away

The Gardai, for operational reasons, might not want to say there was a fatality, interestingly breakingnews.ie are saying that the injured man 'is said' to be in a serious condition in the Mater hospital, so no definite news from the hospital either.

Since when this Ireland a "very corrupt state"? What utopias have you visited/lived in that led you to come to this conclusion?

Corruption is not being able to do anything in a country without a brown envelope. That means driving down the road and being stopped by police until you pay them off. Not being able to set up business without paying someone off. Most Irish people have no idea what corruption is and yet throw the word around.

The gardas appear to know little about the attacker and they appear to have no leads on what they are reporting. Eg there is no reports of something like a black polo with 98 D plates. Saying something now could impact on their investigation.

If someone had died (there was a 21st going on ffs) someone would have got the word out by now because it would be all over Facebook, Twitter etc.

Totally agree but it still doesn't explain the fact that there was what looked like a body under black plastic in the middle of the road.

in these situations peoples minds play tricks. He could have seen a paramedics bag in the road and from the distance and with the lights and confusion it looked like something else.

The news stations would have no reason to keep a murder quiet and as I said with that many people involved and so many witnesses/bystanders word would have been out on social media within minutes of it happening.

Have you followed any of the recent tribunals.

Do you remember charlie haughey, or bertie ahern giving 'speeches' and having cash 'collections'. Or maybe the mc breartys in donegal? Do you realise the taxes were now paying to bail out fianna fails galway tent friends?

Why are none of the bankers, developers or engineers that were allowing fire traps to be built and sold to innocent people in jail.

Ill tell you why, this country is rotten to the core.

Black plastic may have been placed on the road to preserve evidence, tyre tracks etc, particularly if it was raining or there was rain due. Black plastic in the middle of the road does not automatically equal a body.

Yes, but it doesn't really matter because you've been told to drop it by a mod, so let's leave it now.
